Disappointed and bummed!
Unfortunately, getting this product in hopes of improving connectivity, quality and speed was a very bad decision. I have had nothing but problems connecting my TV, my wireless printer, other wireless devices, etc. My IP phone connectivity is worst than ever before, dropping calls, unclean connectivity with static and garbled voice. I have found no consistency, nor stability with this new router since switching out my 3 year old NetGear wireless router. It looks like I have to reinstall my NetGear to get back to a satisfactory level of productivity. As a point of reference, my NetGear connected to everything perfectly as well as my IP phone which previously worked just fine. Only real issues was slowness due to it's age and inability to keep up with the speed that I could get on broadband.I typically go off reviews to help me make decisions on whether to purchase or not and the reviews for this product where amazing so I went with it. On a high note, I thought it was easy to install and the GUI on the admin panel was user friendly which actually got me off to a good start however, post install has been an utter disappointment. I read several posts to see if I could implement some of the fixes recommended by MediaLink and to this point, none have been successful, especially with my printer and TV.Need to look elsewhere, either I got a dud or it really is a dud! By the way I am a very technical person.

Terrible product
I wouldn't buy this, it is not a good product in my opinion as it does not work well for me.

Easy to setup. Don't worry about resetting the router worry about dropped connections instead...
I bought this to replace a Netgear router I bought from Radio Shack seven years ago - the router was requiring constant resets so I figured it was time to bury it and buy a new one. I bought this based on the ratio of positive to negative reviews. Setup was easy. All of my devices connected without a problem. However when I started using it I noticed lag on my iPad watching movies. My son and I play lots of games online, and we were getting disconnected every five minutes-it was AWFUL (not a reset of the router, the connection would just drop). Then I dug into the negative reviews, especially in regards to gaming. That's when I realized I didn't do enough research. You never had to reset the router, but you had to contend with dropped connections (which can really screw up a game when you are grinding lol). Frankly I want to plug in the router and move on. I don't want to spend 4 hours changing settings and checking for lost packets with some guy on the phone - I just want to plug it in and move on. I didn't bother calling in for assistance after reading the negative reviews. As much as I hate my Netgear router now, the one thing I can say is I plugged it in and it worked forever without any adjustments, no phone calls, or troubleshooting, the hardware might be on it's way out seven years later , but at least it worked out of the box without calling in a science team. I returned this the day I received it and reinstalled my ailing Netgear router. Sadly I have to reset it, but I don't lose connection in the middle of a game.

I would return this if I could, awful download speed.
First off, I feel generous giving it two stars but don't feel like I can give it any less, as it does everything a router should do. Most of my problem lies in the fact that the description claims 300Mbps. I have service for 15 down and 1 up (I'd like more, but it's expensive here) and that should be plenty for my usage. I'm only getting between 1 and 8 down out of this thing. 1-3 wirelessly and 2-8 wired. it's awful. Sometimes it spikes to 8-10Mbps or so, but thats usually when I don't need it... For anyone out there thinking it might be the service, it's not. I called the provider originally, they blamed the modem and router (I didn't want to rent theirs) so I did speed tests from each device. Out of the modem I get anywhere from 13-15Mbps down and 1 up just like I should, but as soon as I go through the router, it drops considerably. My wife and I watch netflix occasionally and this thing barely handles that. It's awful, I wish I could return it but it's been too long now. The range is decent for the size of the unit. It doesn't really matter to me because I live in a small apartment. Most of the signal reach is outside my walls. I've been looking for additional security and considered flashing the firmware to dd-wrt, but I can't find anywhere if that's supported. I feel like I bought an off-brand and am really REALLY paying for it. I want my money back, and I want an Asus, Netgear or Linksys. To Mediabridge's credit, the router was super easy to set up, came with an ethernet cable (always a plus in my book) and is easy to configure. I didn't feel right giving it less than two stars just because of the speed. Honestly, everything else was great. I will not be buying from Mediabridge again though. This router is no good to me if it doesn't do what it was advertised to do consistently. I wouldn't even feel right selling it to someone.
