I have somewhat soft Afro-Caribbean hair, and my son's is a little coarser than mine, so I thought these bristles were going to snap off, bend, or break.I requested a refund, and they said I did not have to return the brush. A few days later, I thought, 'Okay, since I have this brush, let me give it a try,' and to my surprise, this brush was the best brush I have ever used. I woke up one fine morning, and what felt like dreadlocks just brushed effortlessly out of my hair.My son also gave it a try, and he too was surprised. There is no pulling or tugging with this brush; it has been very well designed, and let's not forget it's made of great material. I feel bad for requesting a refund, so I thought I would write this review instead as a thank you because I will never use another brush but this one.I will definitely order this brush again if I need to replace it in the future. I 100% recommend this brush although it doesn't look like much, but remember looks can be deceiving. This brush is amazing!

Purchased this one for my mother who has waist-long hair and always has a lot of trouble working out the knots and brushing them. According to her this brush is an absolute miracle, not only did it consistently brush out all tangles from the hair it is also incredibly soft and does not hurt the skin. Trying it myself, the way it adheres to the form the head gave me active goosebumps. Will buy extras in case it breaks or gets a price hike!
