I became passionate about bartending about six months ago and work as a bartender now. Having almost nothing required for the craft, this was the perfect start. With only 20$, you can start making cocktails immediately!Hundreds of hours of experience (professionally and privately) and research later, here’s a breakdown of each item:1. Shaking Tin Set:These on their own are worth the price. They seal great and come apart easier than a lot of other tins (even those that cost more than $20). In order to host birthdays at home with 15+ people, I needed at least one additional shaker for efficiency. I have used this set as the comparison for the sets I bought later. I ended up returning two different sets I bought because they cost more than this one and didn’t work as efficiently. Also, after many, many cocktails, it is still in amazing shape and looks beautiful.2. Jigger: Japanese-style jiggers are often used in bars and there’s a reason. I’m really happy this set included one. I love that there are 0.5 and 0.75 oz markings on the 1 oz side and a 1.5 oz marking on the 2 oz side. Sometimes I bring this jigger to work bc the engravings make me feel more confident as I whip together cocktails.3 & 4. Spoon and StrainerThey do their jobs. Eventually you’ll probably want an upgrade of both. Especially for strainers: a really tight coil is important. This strainer has an okay coil than some but it is worth investing later on in a more expensive one.5. Bar Mat: It was neat to discover the benefits of bar mats. I use this one now to let my shakers dry after they’re washed, while I use my other set to make another cocktail (and then swap). Unfortunately, my mat came bent and it still hasn’t straightened out, even with hot water. That’s why I deducted a star.

I'm a 55 year old guy. I bought this bar set for myself a few months ago. If you're looking for a $30ish gift for a 20 something year old that likes to go to bars, he will appreciate this set, I know I would have. If you ae looking for a $30ish gift for a 54 year old who like to drink but likes staying home to do so, hw will like this gift!There are two things I don't like about the set though. #1, the shaker can lip is rounded, but yet kinda sharp. The shaker can could have been better. #2, No grater/zester, I had to buy it separately So, if I was going to give it as a gift, I would look for a set that already had a zester. And hopefully a smoother cup. Probably just be the $50 version and go from there.I've learned its hard to make quality cocktails, especially layered ones. Tip your bartender. No, I'm not a bartender, but after trying to make these drinks, just the beauty of a really nicely layered tequila sunrise is worth the extra $2.

I am a huge fan of cocktails, but never had a full set before. I looked on Amazon and came across these guys, for something that was all in one, what a great product this is. First off, the packaging makes it perfect for a gift and the quality is really nice and second, if you are starting out, it has everything you need to make delicious cocktails.
