ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Wired Headset + MixAmp Pro TR with Dolby Audio for Xbox One, PC, Mac

Returned another headset for this: I tried Turtle Beach and the Epos H6Pro. These are way better in my opinion.I use these for Battlefied, Warzone, HLL and HaloEQ settings are changeable, you can adjust the settings on the fly with the Mix Amp, or more in depth in the app/computer. There are also 5 quick presets you can swap to on the fly via a button.One thing I don't like is that you NEED a computer to update the Mix Amps software otherwise your Xbox won't recognize it and then you have a fancy paper weight. I don't own a computer so luckily I was able to use someone else's.That aside I'm a fan of these, my previous Astro's were A40's with the M80 Mixamp I bought in 2016 and used until my mixamp and headset wires finally broke a month ago. Hoping I can get atleast another 5 years out of these.

I had an Astro a50 before I think they were gen 2 but I would get too many random drops in connection maybe because I have so many other wireless devices in the area. I ended up going to the a40 to combat the connection problems. The sound on these and the a50 are the same which is great because both of them sound amazing. Most of my current gaming is done on pc playing call of duty which if you play multiplayer you know it can be important to hear as many sounds clearly as possible specifically foot steps. The sound in my opinion is amazing and does what I need it to. I love having the mixer right here as well to make adjustments to the sound of I need to versus having to change it on the pc. Great headset, would definitely recommend.

This headset is not worth the money. It took only a few minutes to hook up to the PC but after 2hours trying to figure out how to get it to work on the XBOX and reading reviews on REDIT, apparently it will not work with XBOX.. So, in short do not waste your time...

Since I bought my Xbox one in 2017 I have had eight headsets to her turtle beaches which were absolute garbage to build quality alone was enough to never buy them again the other headsets that I had were random ones and only foundOne decent one called Sade’s. They cost me around $40 and it was Amazon‘s choice they lasted about a year I am rough on a headset fast forward to 2019 I decided to get serious about my headset and I’ve heard many times before from different people and friends that are gamers you must try the Astro a 40s with the mix. Pro amp so I took the Leap and after two good solid years of earning them I can’t see how a headset could get any better the build quality is amazing especially since I am rough on the headset starting with the wires the gauge is much better In any of the headsets That I have had before, connectors are solid and you don’t have to worry about them fraying on the inside like you do other headsets Because they are not all molded into one piece the wire ends are flexible and meant to be pulled stretched and dropped, sound quality is unmatched by any thing I’ve heard so far and I have Tested the steel series and other headsets that are top line. the comfort it’s just amazing they’re very light yet they’re built very solid with metal components in the headset and extremely adjustable so when you twist intern your body you don’t have to worry about anything just popping off or falling apart the set up I’m pretty sure a five-year-old could handle pretty much self-explanatory but they do have detailed instructions if you need them again I will drop these things I’ve stepped on the wires I’ve pulled them when running to get the door and everything is made in a proactive approach two professional gaming there’s an old saying from my watch company I forget what it was they can take a licking but they keep on ticking if for some reason I would destroy these I would make sure I’d have the new set the next day I paid $279 plus tax I would’ve paid $350 or more just because I’m so happy with these things sounds crazy huh but when you have a conviction stick with it.

If you're looking for a gaming headset look no further. This headset is amazing, it is super comfortable and have had them for almost 2 years and have withstand alot of hours. I used to be a huge turtle beach fan but ever since switching I will never buy any other kind. If you love to game you have to get these.
