Great quality in a small device. Worth buying.

I got this from Amazon, great little radio, so easy to use, easy to put batteries in compartment, I bought another midland radio and it was so hard to connect the internal battery, id have to have microscopic fingers to plug it in, gave it away, put it out in the hall of my apartment with a for free sign. this little green Kaito radio is the best ive bought so far. I love the siren on it, its pretty loud and the flashlight is good. just the right size for my backpack too if I want or need to carry it, perfect size and works Great.

Radio worked for about 3 weeks.Rechargeable batteries failed, replaced with same batteries with different connector, and changed connector to original-did not work.Fitted radio with standard batteries in battery compartment for these worked for about 2 weeks then would not work.Very disappointing, yes I know could not return item as I tried to repair myself, although still failed with standard battery setup.As emergency radio-would not rely on it in an emergency situation.Very put-off with online shopping.

This is an excellent everyday use radio that can also be used as an emergency radio.I've been using this little radio daily for a couple of weeks now and I have it with me everywhere I go. This little radio is very compact and feels very solid in your hand. I especially like the rounded corners and it's Tic Tac shape.The antenna, tuning and volume wheel controls are positioned in such a way that you can operate this radio while holding it vertically, like a cell phone. I also find that having the tuning wheel on the side is at the perfect height and very comfortable to use when resting my hand next to the radio on a flat table top or desk surface. This is a great feature to have if you spend hours tuning around in the shortwave band, (no carpel tunnel syndrome).On my radio, I added four little rubber feet to the bottom to give it more stability when using it on an uneven rough surface, like a rock or a tree stump. I also use my Voyager V2 with mono headphones and a shortwave reel antenna for tuning the SW Band, (these are must have accessories for shortwave listening).

Haven't used it enough to rate durability, but overall seems good
