I really enjoyed this visual novel. Very text heavy and easily 40+ hours of story. Do the "after" route first for the best experience. It'll make you more curious about what the "before" route reveals, which is a slower story. Unlike many other visual novels, you don't choose verbal responses, you instead set the "senses system" for each character to a value that represents how much you like/dislike trust/mistrust a character to prioritize who an outcome favours. There were many possible endings, and the autosave will create 100 different files at key points as you play, making it easy to backtrack and make different choices for a different outcome.

Amazing story, best visual novel I've played. Twist and turns throughout entire game. Every time I thought it was coming to an end the game just kept going. Loved how long it took to get through it (for me it was 2 weeks). Only knock is the system used to make your 'choices' but online guides can help you get the best ending. Truly psychological and sci-fi at its best in game form.

This is quite a great visual novel. Mature themed story with a mystery that will keep you going till the end and yet you will replay it again and again. Its a old visual novel to relive again on the Switch. Very glad that visual novels like these are being ported over to the Switch. Highly recommended for those who love visual novels and its more adult audience themed story.

Root Double is a VN classic from back 2012 (Xbox 360 exclusive in Japan, later ported to other platforms) and now is back again on the Nintendo Switch. If you're into VNs you will love this one!

Good game. I just wish it had a longer title.
