Chapter 3 (but first in the comments here) - manufacturer and vendor quickly responded and replied to my issue. They got it right. I now have the appropriate mounts for the rack--and they look like they will work very well over time...which is exactly what I'd hoped for. Sorry for the LOOONNNGGG post--but it's been a bit of a journey, and if you're considering these, I wanted to fully explain the full experience. Bottom line, recommend highly. Product seems good, but customer centered service and company response was exceptional.1.. My first experience with these type mounts. Essentially you tighten a bolt to crush to expand a rubber stopper to fill a hole. I never felt like I could get it snug enough, kept tightening, and twice the stopper popped through the nut and washer. Learned I could not tighten it too much, which left me wondering if it would actually stay in over rough terrain carrying my gun. It seems loose in the hole; I can wiggle it around. However, I cannot pull it out—although, I did not pull terribly hard. It feels like I could pop it out. Time will tell. But I am a bit concerned about locking in a couple of nice rifles with a scope on them and having them fall off.....again, time will tell I suppose. Gonna try em, hope for the best. (note; turns out, wrong mount)Chapter 2....learned the hard way, there are different sizes for mounts. The ranger and rzr are different. I got the wrong ones—so, no surprise they didn’t fit. Company very responsive and helpful in getting it straightened out.....

My Polaris did not have any provisions to allow the use of this on the front rack so i could only use it on the rear rack. Not a hit on this product but just to let other potential buyers know. On the plus side mounting it diagonally on the rear allowed me to carry longer items w/o sticking out to the sides and get through narrow gates or trails. Works perfectly as designed for as a rifle / tool rack. Just be sure to tighten down the base and wing nuts as specified in the instructions before every ride. Nice to be able to remove it as necessary and stored away to keep the harsh desert sun from deteriorating the rubber. Should have bought this sooner, a must for every ATV/ UTV owner.

Works great so far IF you use your own Polaris lock n ride tie downs. The mount that comes with it does NOT FIT A Polaris Ranger XP 1000. Mine is a 2017. But you can use Polaris lock n ride tie downs or whatever they are called and it’s perfect.Look at the 3rd photo. Polaris part on the left, mount that comes with on right. Significant size difference.

Add spring washers to the wing nuts. and a fender washer to the bottom. when you tighten it up in the lock and ride it sucks the small washer provided into the rubber and they never really tighten up.

bought to put on my atv to hold my shotguns for clay shooting and my rifles for hunting. Pretty easy install, I put it together wrong before I finally looked at the instructions. Super easy attach and deattach from the 4 wheeler.
