The ice cubes are massive and last for a long time. Big enough to freeze a big lemon segment in them. The ice ball mold holds in place and makes good spheres of ice. Have used boiled water with them to get clear ice, and it has been really impressive for that.

The idea of big spherical ice cubes is cool.Unfortunately, these don't deliver. They need a firmer base, to prevent spilling, and some strap or something, to hold top and bottom halves together.

I was a little concerned about the ease of removing the block when reading the r3views but they removed fairly easily. The trick is not to overfill the cubes; the spherical blocks take a bit of getting use to but worth the effort as they are great.

Cube one is fine but the ball one lifts when water is in, so let’s water out then doesn’t create proper balls, but of a ball ache really. Pardon the pun!

Decent enough trays but cube tray doesn't come with a lid as pictured. Main reason for getting these was to stack. Works OK without, just have to be more careful!

Returned both items without using them, as I found that the package did not contain the clear plastic lid for the square tray. A lid is essential when using a frost-free freezer.
