Free returns, I guessed that it wouldn’t hurt to look at these, but at their price I thought they were probably cheaply made. Well, I was wrong! I like them, and they seemed to be of just as good quality and fairly similar thickness of other high quality merino wool t-shirts. I am big on merino wool person, and having trekked over 12,000 miles in the last six years, always wear merino wool as a base layer and top layer. I also use merino wool clothing for everyday wear. I have many of the top brands, Meriwool, Merino.tech, Minus33, Woolly, Smartwool, Burton, and my favorite, Icebreaker. I have found over the years that most of clothing from the brand names companies are of fairly similar overall good quality, and now Merino Protect will be up there with merino wool clothing I’ll buy. The material definitely is wool, and if you’ve worn merino before, you’d notice that right away and not mistake it for any other material. The collar is not overly loose like many cheap t-shirts, and the stitching appears well made. I am 6’1” and was concerned with some of the reviews that noted it was short. I ordered x-large and it fits me well as I am about 195 lbs. If you are bigger, you might be out of luck. For me, before it was washed, it hung well below my belt, and almost to my crotch, plenty long for me. However, the sleeves seemed fairly short, but that is the style with most t-shirts, and I just like them long like the old traditional t-shirts. I have read several reviewers state that they thought this material was thin, and even cheap. To me it seems that these might be around 160-170 gm of merino wool, fairly standard for light to mid weight wool t-shirts. They are definitely not thin! Compared to cotton for sure, but if you’ve never worn merino wool as an all around t-shirt, you might not know that this thickness and feel is typical of all merino wool t-shirts. I bought three black and one camo, and I am surprised and very pleased with the quality, and plan to buy several more for this price! I bought a lot of Merino.tech t-shirts when they first came out because they were price below everyone else because they were new. Now they are up there in price with all the other merino wool t-shirts, and maybe that’s why these are so very reasonably priced for a very good quality merino wool t-shirt. I’d say, get these at this price while you can.

These shirts are great not itchy but a tough soft. Colors do not wash out. Liked them so much immediately ordered a second one 👍

I love these t-shirts and have several of them in different colors and thicknesses. Not only are they perfect for working out, including hot yoga, but I also wear them casually and they look and fit better than my cotton Ts. The merino has a natural stretchiness to it which makes it more comfortable and more premium feeling. The XL fits me just right at 6’0” 205lbs. I’ve completely made the switch from synthetic/poly/plastic to natural merino wool because of Merino Protect. Looking forward to their new releases.

It’s good quality, nice dark black color, fits well, packs nicely so it is great for business travel. I was not used to Marino wool so wondered if it would feel scratchy — it didn’t. Style and fit are like a standard polo. I prefer trim fit but it wasn’t huge and boxy just not fitted. I only gave it fewer stars because it requires more careful cleaning than cotton or other materials, but that’s inherent.

Merino wool is so comfortable against the skin. I consider it a luxury product. I have all three colors of Merino Tees that Filson offers and have worn them frequently for years. This Merino Protect 190 is almost as thick as the Filson’s (I’ve tried other brands which were super thin) and run about 1/3 the price. After buying and wearing this one, I’ve ordered 2 more colors in the Merino 200. Treat yourself!

I absolutely love the Merino Protect 100% Merino Wool T-Shirt. It’s one of the softest, lightest, and most comfortable shirts I’ve ever worn — perfect for travel, hiking, and everyday use. The fit is excellent (nice and slim without being tight), it breathes incredibly well, and it stays fresher longer than any cotton tee I own. My only disappointment is that after just three wears, a small hole developed in the fabric. It’s a shame, because everything else about this shirt is truly outstanding. I’m hoping this was a one-off defect, because the comfort and performance are genuinely top-notch. Even with that issue, I’d still recommend giving it a try — it feels amazing, performs beautifully, and would be absolutely perfect with just a little improvement in durability.
