This is not only good for helping marriages but good for relationships at all levels. Early in a relationship it gives you all you need to know about each other. I think this is a great way to assess whether you want to continue or even start.

I bought the book twice (for myself, but I gifted it almost immediately and bough it again) and suggested to many friends recently. It has been incredibly useful. Helped me look at relationships in a more productive way, getting rid of old assumptions (sometimes the product of the culture one is born in). Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it has helped me to engage in conversations generating stronger mutual understanding, empathy, and creating the basis of even stronger and more effective commitment. I highly recommend It (and I have recommended it), particularly to those who truly care about (constantly) working to build and maintain a thriving and successful relationship.

I have read this myself and found keep a copy to give to that someone special when I meet them. Now I am buying copies of this book for couples that I know and they are giving good feedback.
