Entertaining read.
I finished Well Met by Jen DeLuca in one sitting. It was such an entertaining read with romance right on point. It was fun reading this book. I loved the story and the characters especially Emily's. I have always been a fan of how Enemies turned into lovers and this was it. There was a bit of hatred at the start of the story, and then how that turned beautifully into something more than love.

Q: Have you ever wished to act opposite a book character which you loved and swooned while reading the novel? 🥵🥺AOTD: I really wish to have a Simon in my life so badly but alas, it’s not going to happen anytime soon though 🥱Book: Well MetAuthor: Jen DeLucaMy Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5This book in a word can be explained as “SWOONY”. It has everything that you need for an easy, light-hearted cute summer read. This is a stand-alone novel from the wonderful series by Jen De Luca herself.Emily is fresh out of a bad breakup and is practically homeless. Her sister’s car accident was the perfect excuse for her to take a well-needed breather and figure out her unsteady life. When her teenage niece signs up to volunteer in the town’s annual Renaissance Faire, Emily becomes begrudgingly entangled with various cast members in the faire starting from tavern wenches, Scottish warriors, Queen and pirates. On the other side, we have Simon aka the cold, hot pirate, the leader of the Faire who tends to get on her nerves every now and then, and was not easy to ignore his unruly presence. You’ll love this book if you’re into:✔️Contemporary Romance✔️Rivals-to-lovers✔️Small town✔️an English teacher dressed as a hot pirate 🥵✔️slow burn✔️steam rating 🔥🔥🔥/5✔️plenty of flirting and witty banter✔️a renaissance faire atmosphereIf you’re looking for a blissful escape to a sun-dappled, chivalry-filled, big-hearted Faire, this is the contemporary romance novel for you. Your heart will grow a few more sizes, I promise ❤️

Great Start.. Poor End
The book started off great. Emily is stuck as a volunteer at the Renaissance fair and gets on the wrong foot with Simon who is basically organizing the fair. The book was cute up to 200 pages, full of fun flirtations and the “will they won't they” dance between Emily and Simon. But after the feelings were expressed and the bond was established, Emily decides to suddenly become an annoying tiresome person who is full of doubts about Simon and needs constant reassurance. This drags on for 100 pages, enough to ruin the whole reading experience. As a result, I have decided to not pick a romance book for a very long time.

The quality of the book was good but if we are talking about the story then It was not what I expected and not in a good manner I was giggling at moments but it was not thaaaat good....just mediocre so do not expect much from it.

Boring, snoozeville romance
Such a boring romance with cardboard characters - except for the niece. Emily and Simon meet cute isn’t even interesting and their romance takes you right into snoozeville. While the author keeps mentioning that Willow Creek is a small town, you never actually get the feeling through any examples of the warmth and quirkiness of a small town (think Gilmore Girls). Emily and Simon’s sparring is also sooo boring- who argues twice about something as banal as the name switch from Emily to Emma? And this is just 100 pages in. Do yourself a favour and go read anything else - the back of a shampoo bottle is more interesting than this book.
