What size hard drive do i buy?

For Non-HD DVR(s), we usually use 2TB WD Purple drives. For HD (720/1080) DVR(s), we recommend 4TB or above.

Can an external hard drive be used instead of internal? would require usb port.

I think the usb port is only for backing up

Can you put the dome camera and the bullet camera outside?

The dome camera is inside only. The bullet camera can be put either outside or inside, I would recommend outside.

I live in northern Minnesota. How cold will these cameras work to?
