Absolutely blown away by sound, build quality and value for money.
I almost spent twice as much as these babies on alternative rock speakers, before settling on the OSDs. Then, I wondered if I’d regret not going for the more expensive ones. I figured I had nothing to lose, as I could send them right back if I wasn’t happy with them. Well, I am more than happy. Right out of the box, I was like, wow... really? I’m powering them with a decent, but relatively inexpensive, Sony amplifier and they sound amazing. (I also went for a good quality, thick, 16 gauge speaker cable - good quality cable makes a really big difference). The separation of instruments and the placement of vocals is very appealing. They’re tight across the range, never getting muffled, with a defined bass, crisp highs and an open mid-range. At this price point, I expected the separation to be a little muddy, bass perhaps a little soggy when pushed, and highs a little bright but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. They’re clean and crisp and a pleasure to listen to. I have them at the back of my pool, facing towards the patio. They’re about 30ft apart and the soundstage is nothing short of amazing at this price point. To float on a floatie in the pool with pool-level music is also quite special. I expected them to be made out of some kind of hard plastic material but they’re made from a rubber-like material and appear to be very well constructed. These speakers have exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. Buy with confidence.

Amazing Sound Amazing looks
it love the sound and i love the looks of it. i found myself grabbing large chunks of rock from side of road to make it feel more natural. i correctly wired my 4 pairs that’s 8 speakers and it’s literally a concert experience in my backyard. it’s holding up in two hail storms of dime size and hard rain don’t forget dog in yard. this was a sweet buy. awesome investment.

Highly recommended from an audiophile
I have built many pairs of Hi-Fi speakers in the past and invested many thousands in speakers and audio gear so my ears are very critical of quality musical sound and these speakers blew me away. Not only are they a great for the price but they sound so good. I'm driving them with a 100W Fosi Class D Bluetooth amplifier in my backyard and could not be more thrilled with this combo. The sound is rich, bright, crisp and detailed. For this quality of sound reproduction, I would have expected to pay 2, 3 maybe even 4x the price of these speakers. I do have an outdoor subwoofer in line with these speakers so the bass is a bit more robust than if I only had these speakers. The speakers are well built and hopefully will last for many years. Some complained they don't look very "natural" but I think they blend in just fine. For those that are not very tech savvy, these are easy to install, just connect to the speaker wire connected to whatever amplifier you choose to drive them. I think these speakers are a steal. Highly recommended.

Great value and performance, but...
Installed these to cover an 18x18 patio area and had low expectations. They have a surprisingly full sound, clear highs and decent mid-bass. For 5.25" speakers they are quite impressive. They are built solidly and blend right in with the landscaping. I would recommend these. Update: October 2013. One of the tweeters stopped working and I figured they were out of warranty, so I cracked it open. What I found was bad quality control. The woofer cone had two holes that were incorrectly made to pass the tweeter wires through. They were not plugged when the holes were made in the correct location. This allowed water to enter the entire enclosure and everything was rusted. I bring these in for the winter, so they are exposed to the elements for about 6 months in a partially shaded location. I contacted OSD and they were very helpful and offered an RMA replacement, but I did have to pay almost $20 to ship the defective speakers to california, even though I showed them pictures of the problem. I knocked off one star for this and I hope the new set lasts longer than 18 months.

Great upgrade from a brand I’d not heard of!
Bought these to replace my several year old Insignia rock speakers I’d purchased from Best Buy. Was hesitant as I’d never heard of this brand before, but the reviews seemed good enough so I figured I’d give them a try. Overall construction seems ideal, imagine they’ll hold up for many years. They were bigger than my old speakers and rated for 200W so I knew they handle what my receiver could throw at them. If you’re going to have over a 50’ run to either of these, opt for the 14G AWG wire, if under 50’ run you can use 16G AWG wire. These sound better than my old speakers did, more clarity and bass. For anyone who says the sound quality is lacking, I’d bet it’s due to their AV receiver. I’m using an older 90W Sony amp that I had from needing to upgrade my inside setup. It only pushes 90W per channel but sounds great and has more volume than I’ll ever need outside. Don’t forget to tweak your receiver settings for distance, boost the channels of it has that option, and set you bass and treble settings for optimal sound (I had to push the bass to 9 and set treble at 4, speakers are ~40’ apart and the stereo field is great!).

Still going strong 7 years in
We bought these 7 years ago and they're still going strong! We live in Phoenix with occasional below freezing winters and summers above 118° F. They sit under hedges that get irrigation regularly too. They still sound great, and fill our yard with tunes while I'm working out there or when we have a party.

Terrible speakers
I bought two of these speakers, one in 2020 and the other in 2022. Sound quality was ok at the start. they now both sound awful after 3 and 5 years. My other rock speakers and Bose speakers I have had for 25 years without issue. Save your money on these.

Rock Speakers
Product is certainly worth every penny! The rock speakers are certainly durable as outside conditions have not affected their performance!

Bought these in 2017 but struggled to get sufficient power from the house to the pool area. They didn't get used for a couple of years because the system was so cumbersome to operate. Recently planned to buy a portable Bluetooth speaker but as a last chance I used my sons old Sony 125 W amp that has been sitting in the garage idle as well. Hooked up my B06+ Bluetooth receiver and used only 20ft leads from the shelf in the garage to the speakers and it sounds really good now. The improvement in the wifi and more power to the speakers makes a world of difference. The system is easy to control off my phone or tablet and sounds great (and loud !). We live on busy street so the traffic noise can be hard the compensate for but setting the speakers beside my garage facing the pool seems to cover everything - highly recommend these. Even after 5 seasons of outdoor use they work flawlessly ( I do take them inside in the winter. 8 inch drivers give a nice fairly natural sound some decent bass and good clarity from the tweeters.

This product is not even basic and the customer service is absolutely pathetic - they delivered a damaged product and then threw up their hands.
