Great product!
This is a great product! After making many disfigured burger patties i came across the Octaburger and decided to give it a try. The results were awesome!Big juicy patties that stay together and don't fall apart on the grill. My guest and I were impressed with the Octaburger.I love how the patties come off the silicon press with ease. Very easy clean up! I highly recommend this product.

Easy to use
Bit difficult to get my black bean burgers out of the form, but that may have been my recipe. I solved this problem by laying a sheet of plastic wrap over the form, and then another sheet on top before I put the lid on. This allowed me to just tug the plastic wrap strait to pop the veggie bburges out so that I could bake them. It was very east to use and much much faster than forming individual burgers. Fyi, each form holds about 3 large cookie scoops of filling.

Great for making baseballs!
Item is indeed easy to use, but cooked burgers come out like baseballs, completely round. Thick in the middle with uneven cooking

but i was disappointed as this press makes patties which are only 3 ...
i ordered this press thinking it would produce patties around 4 1/2 - 5" in diameter as anything smaller shrinks up and is too small for most burger buns, but i was disappointed as this press makes patties which are only 3 1/2" wide , not too happy about that.

It does what it needs to but I really felt the top is too flimsy makes it difficult to form wish it was firmer lid won't stay firmly rested in the base when I store it

Fire up the grill
Have used once and am quite pleased. Didn't use any special seasonings as I generally prefer to season when grilling. 2lb fills it nicely with just a little to spare. Chilled for several hr and then pan fried two burgers (huge t-storm with close lightening hit the area at just the wrong time). These burgers were good, popped out of the Octaburger easily, and held their shape. Froze the rest in the Octaburger. Several days later I cooked the remainder on the grill after putting the press in refrigerator for some thawing. Again the burgers came out easily and held their shape on the grill. The dimple seems to perform as advertised to minimize the "plumping" of hand shaped burgers. Bottom line: easy to fill and shape, excellent storage in refrigerator or freezer, easy to hand wash. Haven't put in dishwasher yet.

Just amazing. I have three of these things and I fill them with ground meat, ready for cooking day. When I am ready, I just remove the number of patties I need, thaw from the freezer and then off I go to cook. Not sure I understand the dimple thing but it does make a difference. Good quality, durable, even direct from the freezer. I put about a third pound of meat in each patty. I use 80/20 fat content and get really good thick burgers - so easy. Highly recommend.

Building better burgers
I'm actually buying more hamburger to put on the grill. 80/20 Chuck. It's what to get for a nice, juicy burger. With the Octaburger, I just pull off a handful of ground chuck and lightly press into the mold. I then place the top on to press more fully into the mold. It helps me touch the hamburger less and I no longer over handle the beef. BUT...the absolute best thing about this is that every burger is the same size and shape which equates to more even cooking and a lot less guessing on the cook time. What I would love to see even more is a little lower cost or even a discount for buying 2 or more at the same time.
