Taste was much more bland than earlier purchases.The most significant problem was that the product was ordered and received in August 2023, but had expired in June 2023. I am not certain but it is my understanding that it not legal to sell an expired product in California.

Yum-yum!! I missed eating my mothers fresh made Quince jelly and am so glad I found this on Amazon.

We use quince jam as the filling for a German Christmas cookie. The one that we usually use is much thicker than this one, but the taste was good. Even though it was a bit thinner than what we are used to, it worked fine for the cookies.

This product is the traditional Germany quince jelly. It is not a fruit spread containing fruit parts, or a firm paste such as the Spanish membrillo. The importer likely mistranslated the label. That said, this is a fine product, with a delicate and fragrant taste, delicious on toast with a little butter. I don't care for the glucose syrup as an ingredient. There are other options that taste excellent with just sugar.

This was for my son, but I have tried it as well. When it first arrived I noticed the jello like consistency to it...was a bit confused about that. Finally it occurred to me to read the ingredients (yeah - I know - basic one there) - this is made with quince juice...Quince is not on the ingredient list. When I buy something called "fruit spread" I generally expect a real fruit to be somewhere on the ingredient list - specifically the fruit that this spread is supposed to be made of. This is more like a jello spread...since there's no real fruit in here.If you want a super tasty quince spread that actually has quince in it (as the main ingredient) - I highly recommend trying this - Casa Giulia Jam, Quince, 12.35 Ounce - this is a real jam/spread - and it's delicious. Both my son & I love it.While this product does taste good - there's no real fruit in it...just fruit juice...

when opened the package. the lid was not on tight and the jelly was all on the jar.could not use...........

This took my husband back to childhood! Glad we found it!
