Absolutely love this series
Holly Black paints a vivid exciting story that kept me turning the page. I couldn’t put it down and couldn’t wait to read each book. I actually originally bought these books on digital and stayed all night when each book was released. I loved them so much I bought the print set! I love that it has a little bit of everything in it fantasy, adventure, romance, small amounts of humor, and mystery. All tied up in a beautiful story. The main character is well written and I love the strength and that she defends herself but, still has moments of vulnerability. I loved each book and how she ties everything together in the end. I love that there was so much more to the main male lead, than I thought. I like that you see him develop in each book. I also enjoyed the surprises through the book, multiple little twists I didn’t expect. I am so excited to read her next series that is about the main characters younger brother. I just started the first few chapters and I’m not disappointed. The quality of the set is excellent. They are a very well made set. Great binding. I use digital sometimes, but will never be able to part with that new book smell and feel.

Fantastic Fantasy Trilogy
Reading the entire trilogy at once made it more obvious how the plot was portioned out, and Holly Black did a great job of it. The world was well developed, and even though the relationships did not work at all at first glance, their messiness somehow added to their authenticity.Holly somehow made you understand, accept, and even love characters who were on the dark side of morally gray. But really, who in our lives is fully pure and good? And admit it, they would be boring if they were.

Ok, not bad.
Overall I would say I liked these books. I still say that Maas is a better writer, but these aren't bad. The last book felt both rushed and a little all over the place. I didn't think I would like Cardan, but he turned out ok in the end.Mostly the characters felt a little flat. Jude is definitely interesting, and Cardan has some growth, but even after reading all three books and short stories, they didn't feel fully fleshed out.Like I said, not bad, but definitely not as good as ACOTAR. 😊

Great series
So I've gone down the spicy gothic fantasy romance rabbit hole and I've seen so many videos with so many books they've started to bleed together and I think this more falls into YA fantasy romance? It def wasn't spicy which had me pretty confused waiting for something to happen all through the first book - haha - oops. Anyway, even missing that factor I found it a really great story with really great characters. I definitely didn't call out the betrayals (like literally any of them so either good on her or bad on me lol) but I did guess several of the answers to riddles and problems. I was dying the last book - especially the last few chapters! Literally walked into work reading and shushed everyone all the way to my locker then died inside waiting for my shift to end so I could finish it! So glad I got the whole set together - I'll def be reading this again.

Devoured the trilogy in a week
Thrilling faerie courtly intrigue with plenty of twists, riddles, and a spicy smattering of romance. I don't believe it's much of an exaggeration to say that I read through the trilogy in a week. At least not much of one.

I would recommend
Enemies to lovers the series was just so good it’s not spicy, but the tension is there.

I really enjoyed this series. I understand some people say it’s hard to get into but I liked the world, the magic, and the story line
