The media could not be loaded. After repainting our utility room, our old light suddenly showed its age. I'd seen these LED lights in various places and thought one would make an ideal replacement .This particular one was the cheapest I've found and had very good reviews.We opted for the square, daylight model and we're extremely pleased with it.It's very sleek and looks smart and modern. It puts out a great amount of light, even brightens the room when it's daylight outside. Being all plastic, there's no worry of it going rusty over time, so it's a perfect choice for bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms.When it comes to fitting, I'd say, while it isn't difficult, a very simple adaption would make things so much easier.The wiring design make the electrical job a very easy and safe process - basically it has two block shaped crocodile clips. Squeeze to open the clip, release and the wire is fixed. Literally a 2 second job. I like the fact that the light has a safety tether so that you can let the lamp hang and use both hands to put the wires into the clips.The only thing that was a pain in the arse was accurately fitting the mounting plate to the ceiling. It seems more complex than it needs to be, but can be made much easier with a small adjustment before fitting.My advice would be to adapt the screw holes by slotting them, so that you have the option to loosen the screws off to slightly rotate the base after you've fitted the light and realised it isn't quite square in the room! 🙄Apart from that, this light is very impressive.I'm about to buy another one for the bathroom.

Great light with the option to dim and change the warmth meaning it can be perfectly adjusted to suit the room. As some other reviews quote it can be slightly tricky to install although for us it wasn't the closeness to the ceiling, it was more that there are 3 access points to fit the light to the holder but only one in which it's square to the room (providing you drilled the template correctly!) and that's not necessarily the way the arrows suggested, Apart from that slight hiccup though we're delighted with it.

This unit is a good simple light to fit if your house is wired correctly. The base plate is simple to mount with 3 screws, the unit only has 2 press fit quick connections and the light twist locks onto the base.A template is provided to help square the light with the room.The diffused housing lights the room not just from the main face but also from the rear of the unit giving a back light effect and easily lights a 2.5mx2.5m room brightly.The problem with this unit is it is a flush mount.There is no space for a ceiling rose junction that would normally be present for a light fitting, thus your wiring will need to be redone to accommodate it.This means to fit the unit, you will have to refit your wiring junction box into the ceiling, leaving only a single 2 core cable down through the ceiling.If your home is not already wired this way (with ceiling/loft space junction boxes), do not use this light!Ground floor or any floor not with attic space above, you will have to cut holes in your ceiling boards to redo the wiring junctions to be inside the ceiling space.Thankfully, the need to redo the wiring saved my home from burning down. None of the bathroom wiring was done to code and had exposed wires close to touching metal.I had to fit the correct junction boxes myself and get an electrician to check my workAdditional costs means its the quick DIY light fitting ended up as a 5 hour job and a fair amount of extra money. Still, it's prevented a house fire so fair trade in my few, I now know how to wire a light circuit to code.

As you can see from the photos, I have now bought a second one of these as I was so impressed with the first one. One is fitted into a walk-in wardrobe and as you can see, fitted in a diamond orientation. What's good is the diffused light means you do not end up with much shadow, so even if the light is behind you, you cam see things clearly in front. In the second set of pictures I have fitted the light to run from a PIR in an understairs cupboard so as soon as you go in it lights up. At this price, and running on a mere 18 watts these lights lend themselves to both decorative and utility uses. Really pleased with these.

I was looking for a replacement for an awful 3 foot strip light on the ceiling of the stairs down to the basement as a part of a redecoration project. Despite some negative comments about this item's reliability I bought one of these LED lights.As it had worked faultlessly for nearly 4 weeks I bought another 2 units for the basement corridor to replace 2 pendant ceiling lights. The illumination is excellent.The installation is a bit fiddly, but it is essential the supplied template is used carefully to locate the fixings to attach accurately the mounting to the ceiling. If the mounting is not located exactly, it is possible to rectify any slight misalignment by trimming a small amount from each of the 3 lugs on the circular rim of the light body.These LED lights each provide bright illumination for a mere 18 watts of electricity usage. Highly recommended.
