Breaks easy
Purchased this item March 1st. I really like it and enjoyed using it. But it is already broken. I had one before and it was heavier and lasted over a year. This needs to be made out of heavier glass.

Nice but too delicate
I wish it were thicker glass. A little too fragile for me.

Love the structure but the bamboo lid smells
First, I should put into context how I use my cup. I use it just to drink water. It's my replacement for a water bottle that I leave at my desk at home. I don't take it anywhere and don't need to. I've found water bottles to always end up stinking after a few days of use and they're always a bother to clean. Also, regular cups that are left all day tend to have a weird taste to them. My desk is in a finished basement so I'm not sure if the air downstairs contributes to that somehow. But yes! Those were my problems and I found that perhaps just a normal cup with a lid would work well!Onto the good things! I really love the structure and shape of this cup. It's a good grip. A very light glass but still feels durable. The lid suctions on neatly but it will for sure leak! I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who plans to use it as a portable water bottle replacement. If you drop it, it'll break (of course because of the glass) but also, if it's tilted sideways in a bag or something, it will leak! The silicone suction on the lid has 2 tiny holes so this is where it will leak. HOWEVER, I really do think the tiny holes help give your cup oxygen so that stinky micro-organisms won't grow in your cup. I did some research and found that my old water bottle was emitting an odor because of micro-organisms growing in a setting without oxygen. This cup perfectly offsets that without exposing my water to so much air to change the taste. I left my cup on my desk for a day and drank it again to find the taste still the same crystal clear water! My only downside is that the lid smells. It's kind of a woody-vinegary-oil scent. It smells like the wood cutting boards that I made in my woodshop class back in 6th grade. Those were very woody and covered in vegetable oil. (The lid isn't oily, by the way. Just smells a bit like that.) I suspect the smell will go away soon. The flavor of the water hasn't changed whatsoever and this cup is a breeze to clean compared to a water bottle.Other than that, I would for sure still recommend the cup!

Very thin glass
I’m almost afraid of washing it. One small hit and I know it will shatter completely. I didn’t think it was this fragile being that it’s double walled.

Plug fell out and water entered the outer area
Edit: After about a year, the plug came out form the bottom, and I cannot seem to get the water out from the inside. Was: Stunning to behold, and keeps a cold drink cold longer than it would reasonably take to costume the contents.I'll update this of course if it breaks or loses its seal, but honestly, it seems so solid that I can't imagine how that would happen. Despite it looking rather fragile, it has the feel and weight of a well-made item, and it's really just beautiful. The lid is a nice touch that keeps minor spills from happening as you're carrying it around. And the bamboo looks so nice that it also makes a great coaster (not that you need one, but what else are you going to do with it when you get to your desk/table?).I use mine for a cold drink (iced tea), and I've just stopped using iced cubes, because the temperature seems to stay lower for much longer. I'd say its equivalent to an insulated thermos mug. I don't have a way to measure this, but I am happy to no longer need to make tea cubes or have diluted tea from plain ice cubes.I purchased the version without the handle, and I almost wish I had opted for that handle, because the glass is quite large in diameter. That makes it a two-handed grab, or I have to grab it closer to the base to get a comfortable grip on it.I knocked off a star because mine has a very notable imperfection on the base. At first, I was scared it was a drop of water or condensation. It's not bad enough to make me exchange the item, but it definitely detracts from an otherwise beautiful glass.

Quality, durability and price in one great cup!
During a period of about 3 years I've purchased four different types of these double walled glass mugs for coffee. Living alone I make one cup of coffee at a time and prefer to prepare a large one of 10-12 ounces and want it to remain hot as long as possible. That is my number one priority. Secondly is durability. This is by far the best of these I've owned. It is heavier glass and has a wooden top with a synthetic seal around the edge instead of single walled glass. It doesn't rattle and sweat and release heat the way the others I've purchased have. Also it is very sturdy. The others have been much more fragile. The best of the lot has shattered twice. Once when the handle caused a crack which fractured the whole cup and the other when my dog bump it off on the carpet from the arm of my chair. Another one had a shattered lid when it arrived despite careful packaging. In short this one has all features I want at a cheaper price than the previously best of the lot. It seems to be thicker with a larger dead space between the walls because it retains heat longer as well!! However this means it isn't really a 16 ounce cup. It isn't even a 12 ounce in practice. 10 is about the safest amount if the lid is to be used.

Sturdy and Handy
It fits well in my hand with its curved body. The insulation is great. My hot drinks remain hot and my cold drinks remain cold, but for an extremely long time. The glass lid is a bonus. Didn't think I'd use it, but it adds a great value to the way this glass can work. It keeps the heat from escaping the top of the glass and Oh Boy, it works well. and the sturdiness of the glass with the top, picnic tables are friendly knowing that no flying intruders will benefit from your cold drinks when you set it down.
