Tuf-Tite3PC Bundle 24x12 Riser, 24in Ring & 24 in Flat lid

After much research, I decided to purchase this brand because of the positive comments and videos. I had never installed a riser before but it was easy to put together. It seems of high quality material and looks a lot nicer than what I have seen other people use.

Have ordered this for three houses and the product works great, great quality and has held up for many many years with no issues. The item comes well shipped and I've never had anything damaged in transit. If the bottom ring is a little warped just put the riser on top of it in the sun and it will straighten it out. The flat top cover is fantastic and is less obtrusive than a high curved one. Lid it is very strong and can easily hold a person's body weight. It comes with a pack of stainless screws that you use to put on the bottom ring and secure the top lid when you're done. You first take the stainless screws and attach the bottom ring to the riser from the top down. Then you place the riser and bottom ring on top of your septic tank and try to line up a screw to keep it in position. Put foam on both sides of the riser and the ring that's shown in my picture. Sometimes the bottom ring is bigger than the septic tank contact point so I just try to put one or two screws in and basically when you fill in with gravel or replace the dirt you will keep it secure and won't move. Definitely put the lid on to prevent dirt from getting in well backfilling. I have found that using foam where the riser meets the actual septic tank and gravel around the outside of the riser to keep it secure works best. The foam prevents water/dirt intrusion from entering the septic tank through the contact point of the lower ring and septic tank surface. Regular yellow foam is fine I ran out so I had to use the orange fireproof foam to prevent another trip to the store.

Digging out the cement lids to our septic tank was something I will never do again! My cement lids were 20x20, so I purchased the 24" riser kit. The tank was cleaned first and then the cement area around the manholes thoroughly cleaned before installation. I recommend getting the butyl rope because it is easy to apply and adheres to the adapter ring. A review said to seal with two applications around the ring. The rope covers three surrounds on the 24" risers. Since I got two risers, and I was far from a hardware store, I used a tube of Loc-Tite Roofing and Flashing Sealant to finish sealing the second riser. Once the ring was on the tank, I tucked the rope into the corners where the adapter ring did not cover the manhole. 1/4" x 1 1/4 Tapcon screws worked fine between the adapter ring and the tank. Seller provided the 6 screws to secure the riser to the ring. I used a clear silicon caulk between the two. Seller also provided 6 screws to secure the top to the riser. My only objection to the risers is the the so-called screw "holes" which are just plastic slots between the riser and adapter and lid to riser. These were hard to reach on the adapter ring even using a drill bit extender. I don't know how well these will hold up with repeated lid removals. All in all, the installation is straight forward and easy to do, and the kit seems durable for its intended use. 4.5 stars given the weak screw slots, but recommend.

Looks stout, good fitting lid. Good price. I needed a third riser, so I don't have to dig up the first tank to pump and inspect. Local government want's an Inspection every three years now. This system has been in operation for 34 years so far and served us well. I used WET/DRY roofing sealer that comes in a caulking tube. 2 and a half tubes did the job sealing the flange to the septic tank. No more digging!

These worked out great for me. I have an aerobic sewer system which needs to be maintained regularly these extensions made my life much easier. they are easy to install once you find the openings. Would recommend to anyone. These were delivered quickly. I am very happy with this product.

Just as advertised, good quality and fast delivery. Note however that this kit does NOT come with the roofing tar sealant. If you are in the business and already have these items then fine, but for the homeowner be aware that you need to get these. Get the caulking tubes of roofing tar, you will need at least two per riser but get three in case the top of your cistern is not dead level, you will have to make up any gaps with the tar.At first I thought that these did NOT come with the screws but I was wrong. I ordered two of these and they came in two boxes. When I opened the first box there were no screws and I didn't see any mention of screws in the Amazon ad so I bought enough for both. Now when I opened the second box I discovered a bag of screws with enough for both risers. So expect to see screws even though the ad doesn't mention them.
