For some reason I didnt realise this book was for children.It did explain how to breath properly well.It was expensive for such a short book.

There's not really much of a story to this book; it's very pointed to teach exercises. Basically, a boy named David wants to enter a race but he wheezes and coughs whenever he tries to run so he makes a wish and over the course of two months of practicing the "ABCs" in 3 steps he is able to join and win the race. It is a good introduction to the main exercise for children called "steps." You take a short breath in your nose, short breath out, then plug your nose and see how many steps you can take. The goal is to get up to 80-100. It teaches a little bit of how breathing through our nose/mouth will effect us as well as an exercise for unblocking your nose.My daughter enjoyed reading the book at age 6. She is a very enthusiastic learner, however, and was already familiar with the exercise so she was a little excited to read about it in the book. A less enthusiastic learner might be bored by the story. We read the book in two settings since the information could easily overload when reading it all at once and it might take too long for young children. Overall, I would recommend it.There is a shortened version of this story in Buteyko Meets Dr. Mew (another book available here on Amazon). That book also has a section for teenagers and parents. The parents section I found particularly helpful in that book. This book is good as a stand alone and is a little more developed but all the same information is there too. So if you wanted more information as a parent and didn't care for a stand alone, it might be worth looking into that book or getting both.

I loved the book because it is easy to read and understand. I bought several so children at third -fourth grade would understand. Gifts to my loved ones.

This really works!!!! My son started sleeping better and his teeth straightened right back up!
