Works like a charm
My dog has recently started running off and getting into the garbage and just being a real pain. Since I hate tying him up all the time I decided to try this.It only takes once for him to quit being a pain. I do not use this on a regular basis. But once I put the collar on and show him the remote he will follow me around and wait for my command.Pros: I like the different settings. Shock vibrate and tone. He does not like any of them but the vibrate bothers him the least. He is a very big black lab so I'm sure he can't feel the vibrate too well unless I turn up the intensity. This thing also holds a very long charge. I have charged it once and many times I have forgotten to shut off the remote and collar. The collar is soft pliable plastic I think. Its not stiff like other collars I've tried.Con's: I usually clip this to my pants when I'm outside working. The biggest problem I've had is accidentally hitting the trigger buttons. Pretty much all of them and my poor dog gets agitated and upset. Most of the time it takes me a few seconds to realize what is going on. So now i have to change the setting to vibrate only.

My children are so much better behaved since purchasing this
My children are so much better behaved since purchasing this. It's like magic. Calm down, calm down, I'm just kidding. I purchased this for our sweet dog, Fiona. A rather large brindle hound of indeterminate breeding whose purpose in life is evidently to chase every car/truck/delivery vehicle down our driveway and then leap in front of it as if to make it stop or engage in a very ill advised game of "Chicken". We purchased this to discourage her from doing so and it works. After she was "bumped" a time or two (polite way of saying mildly shocked---and it's mild---sweet, brave husband tried it on himself first) we now only have to hit vibrate and she's good to go. The UPS/Fed Ex drivers no longer have to white knuckle it down our driveway. Money well spent.

Cheap but not worth it. Get a better model.
Cheap and not worth it. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. it claims 1000 yard range - it runs out of range at 50 yards. On the lowest static correction. my 60 pound pointer lept 4 feet into the air and writhed in pain. He quickly learned he could outrun the correction by getting more than 50 yards away and not coming back. This was worse than no training at all. It costs more to return than to throw away.

Too high powered
This tripped the breakers in our house every time we plugged it in to charge. I'm not sure how it works, because we had no success getting it to charge. This worried me, because if it has so much power it trips the breaker, then how would it affect my dog? My husband really wanted to try a collar to help with our puppy barking, but this doesn't appear to be the solution.

It's okay.
This product was/is pretty good WHEN it wants to work. The collar has a very hard timing "waking" up. Often we have to plug it into the charger and then push the power button then disconnect to get it to work. Sometimes you just have to push the power button. When it works it is awesome just has a hard time getting jump started 50% of the time. Yes the battery is fully charged.

Do not recommend. Buy a better quality training.
It seemed great at first. However, it goes into sleep mode and then I can't get it to wake up and work. I've done all the troubleshooting tricks listed. I cut the collar to make it fit my dog, not sure if they'll take it back for replacement or refund.

My boyfriend tried it on himself first and he was left with scars where the prongs are located, with the lowest static setting used. I would return this if we hadn't discarded the packaging stuff.
