Skunk2 (372-05-0280) Thermal Intake Manifold Gasket for Honda H22 Engine

Installed on my H22 with my Individual Throttle Bodies. Fit great, Looks great, is reusable, and will bring down my intake temps!

I've put thermal gaskets on all my Hondas since around 2012. Figured skunk2 was as good as any but here I am, 2 hours from home. Got off the freeway to grab some food and suddenly my car sounds like it has a massive exhaust leak. No problem I thought, I'll let it cool off and make sure there's no imminent danger and kinda figure out what I can expect for fixing it. I've had a few headers crack lately and assumed that was it. Pipe looks great, can't find the leak. Rev it from up top and I smell exhaust near the intake manifold and it sounds like the leak is right in my face. I eat my food and the sun sets. I rev it again in the dark and sure enough, I can see a blue puff of flame from right beneath the egr hole... it melted and blew out right at the EGR port on the cylinder head...Never seen this before and never heard of it happening. I have work in the morning and I'm worried I'm gonna damage the head or intake manifold if I drive it the next 2 hours as it is.

Dislike. I have a racing application. I had to torque is several times once hot. If you leave the intake support bracket off DONOT use this gasket. You also should get longer studs.
