My first experience with an early generation of this LED corn bulb was disappointing. I wanted it from my shop's garage door opener - which was positioned about 20 feet above the floor. The first bulb was inoperative right out of the package - and I left an honestly disappointed review.I still wanted a bright shop light - so I reordered another light. It arrived and I carefully screwed it in. This LED light has been perfect; lighting my shop as the garage door opens and after it closes. I've had no problems at all in both cold and warm weather.After the fact, the vendor reached out and offered compensation for the original product failure. In writing this POSITIVE review, I'm accepting their offer.

I live in an apartment with a dark living room. Most daylight is blocked by a building nearby (probably 10 feet away, separated by a walkway) so the living room is quite dark even on a sunny day. I purchased 30w version and used it in a floor lamp. Big difference. The color temperature feels close to natural light. The metal frame (heat sink) of the light bulb gets hot on touch over extended use (the light is on pretty much 16 hours a day). I understand the base of the bulb has a AC-DC converter inside (heat source). Hope the light will last for a long time (close to the manufacturer estimated life span).

I have seven of these lights around my house. Two on the front deck, three on the back deck, and two out on the garage. Where I live it gets really dark at night because there are no street lights within five miles of here. So, these lights are the best at making the darkest nights bright as day. They do wear out after a couple of years. So, I do have to replace them, once in a while. But, that's to be expected, I suppose.

Edit: The company reached out to me and sent me a new bulb which I installed and has been working well for a couple of weeks now with no issues. I've bumped the review to 3 stars and will adjust based on the longevity of the bulb.Edit: It’s been one year and the replacement bulb has been working like a charm. Changing to 5 stars.This bulb was fantastic, but after 4 months it started going into halloween horror mode where it would spark and buzz and then go out every time. I tried reinstalling the bulb with no rectification. I just popped in a regular bulb and everything works. This bulb is great but doesn't last long AT ALL for an LED light. Probably only had about 10 hours of life used on it too.

Figured I'd leave a review here as it's been almost 5 years. I bought this Aug 13, 2020. One of them burned out yesterday. It ran 8 hours per day 5 days per week. I expected another 15 years....based only upon what they advertise "【36,000 hours long lifespan】: Super stable quality and extended service life. It can serve for you up to 20 years with five hours use per day."

I have had exterior dusk-to-dawn lights with Duke Energy for many years! My neighbor passed away last year and her son/daughter-in-law have been remodeling the house to move in. My 2 dusk-to-dawn lights were shining into their windows, keeping them awake. So, I had them turned off this week. (Now my house looks completely dark!) So, I purchased this to use in a lamppost I have outside. When I plugged it in, it almost blinded me!!! If you are looking for a super bright light, then you have found the right option! I will definitely purchase more when I finish working in my back yard.
