TEASER POLE-FIVE STARS++, ORIGINAL REPLACEMENTS-FIVE STARS++, BEAR AND FOX-ONE STAR :(((
This is a MULTI-PURCHASE REVIEW...I give The Outward Hound Teaser Pole a HUGE FIVE STAR++++++! How did I ever manage to play with my pups before this toy I'll never know?! My dogs Love! Love! Love this simple toy. It's the best thing ever! My 9 month old Mini Golden Doodle is obsessed, as is my Shih-poo. It provides us all with endless hours of laughter and joy.The ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT TOYS (the black and white/beige and white, rat looking things) that come with the pole, I give FIVE STARS++. They're adorable, and depending on how aggressive your dog is at playtime, they can last a long time. The squeaker's....eh...not as long...but then I have a squeaker nut, so that might be the issue.HOWEVER, the FOX and BEAR replacement toys I give ONE STAR.(1) The Fox toy ripped across the middle the first day we played with it, so I sewed it back together. Easy fix. Once repaired, the loop broke (the loop at the top of each toy that attach it to the string on the pole). This was end of the fox, as there was no way to fix it successfully.(2) The Bear toy's LOOP broke the first time we played with it. My dog didn't EVEN have it in his mouth at the time, it just flew off the pole! WTH!? The loops on the original ones have NEVER broke, and my larger dog, at 30 lbs has been drug across my yard with it in his mouth.The loops on the stuffed fox and bear are thinner and weaker.I only wish I had realized this before the time for a refund had expired. Ugh. Now I'm stuck with the darn things, as I bought two of eac. Oh well....I guess it is what it is....sigh.

Corgi loves this toy!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This toy is literally my corgis FAVORITE TOY. I have purchased quite a couple of them because the squeak & rattle breaks easily but I will forever keep buying them for my corgi.

My dog’s favorite toy
My 5 pound dog loves this toy and I think we’re on Fox #5 or 6. We tie this to the end of his doggy “fishing pole” and he goes crazy. It’s soft, cute, the perfect size for him and lasts a while. One of his toys he can’t tear up :) A non-expensive toy that entertains him for hours!

GREAT FUN FOR DOG ... BUT NOT DURABLE!!!
We have a 60, close to 2-year-old Pit, and by far, the Dog Teaser Wand with the Tail Teaser is her favorite!!I feel our dog loves this so much because she loves how she can chase after the tail, in different directions, she can fit it comfortably in her mouth, she can make it squeak (it rattles, too), and she stays connected to me, when we're playing, outside.My only complaint is that the Tail Teasers are very easy for the dog to tear, and when that happens, the squeaker and the rattle can come right out. And if you're not watching closely, the dog can grab those pieces in its mouth.I've learned to get creative and put the pieces back in the tail and bind the tear to help make the toy last longer. I also try to avoid letting our aggressive-chewing girlie pull too hard against the line, when I'm going in the opposite direction. If you have a large dog who likes to be lifted by something it has in its mouth, this will probably rip on the first day, so I don't recommend doing that at all!The tail is fairly easy to replace. You just may need something to help loosen the knot that forms, at the end of the wand line, to keep it in place.I'll keep getting these, as long as it's our dog's favorite, especially since the price is reasonable ... but I just wish they held up better.

Works great for our particular dog breed and personality. Build quality looks good
We originally purchased the full Outward Hound teaser-pole kit for our 6 YO, 17 Lb. mini-Schnauzer. He has always loved this toy and the original "lures" have lasted well over six months. I wanted to get some replacement lures, but the reviews gave me pause (not paws). "Thin strings, torn apart within five minutes." The replacements I bought look as robust as the originals. The string loop is stout (see photos). I can only speak to the ones I ordered, called "Brown" and "Black." I saw some nice poles designed for larger breeds that looked really good. But this one works well for our smaller dog breed. It squeaks and rattles, and our dog has not breached the innards. Side note. I assume the "Ideas" suggestions in Amazon reviews helps populate their AI review summary. Kind of cheesy...

Doesn't Work With Wand Toy
I bought this lure toy as a replacement for the one on the wand toy. According to the description, it is a lure that is supposed to work with that wand toy. But the loop that has to go around the cord on the wand and then around the replacement lure isn't long enough. You have to fit the entire toy through that loop and there was no way I could do that with the short loop. I had to find some thin rope and tie it around the wand and then through the loop of the lure replacement. Annoying and it wasn't very secure. I went to the Outward Hound website because I thought maybe they had a different wand toy this was supposed to work with, but they don't. And when you search for "wand" it pulls up the wand I have and this replacement lure so it seems certain they're supposed to work together. Unfortunately, I bought two of these toys. They are not built well enough to just give to my dog without the wand, so they are basically useless.

Keeps ripping.
My pup loves this attachment to her flirt pole. She tore the first one in half. We only give her access to the toy when we are using the flirt pole. The toy was easy to attach to the flirt pole. My puppy loves the squeaking, but we have to remove the squeaker after the first use as she rips the toy open.

Incredibly Durable
My two 30-lb poodles will tear up a flirt pole toy like this in a week. The loop never pulled out of this toy but it did eventually lose both the squeeker and the rattler but there is no stuffing to be concerned about. It ripped up twice until only the head was left but my dogs thoroughly enjoyed chasing and playing tug of war with it. One of the best flirt pole toys I've ever purchased.
