Awesome educative book to grab and read !
It’s amazing to find a book that highlights the historical stories of women who have fought to make a difference in our world .I found it very educative and it enriched my knowledge as I didn’t realise some of these women existed.I love the structure of the book as it categorises how women have succeeded in different sectors or fields .It reminds me of how we women can continue to make a difference regardless of the role we are occupying and these women serve as role models to admire and follow.

Truly inspiring stories. Go Girl Power!
This book is full of inspirational stories about some of the extraordinary women in this world. These are women that have overcome immense struggles, especially because of the way the world viewed women in society, and they have come out on top. True Girl Power in action! I loved reading about these women, and it really inspired me to believe in myself as well. I highly recommend everyone read this book! It is not just for women, I believe men will love it too.The book is also very well written and easy to read. Well done Leah Gail. I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

An inspiring and informative read.
As a history enthusiast, I was immediately intrigued by Leah Gail's book, Extraordinary Women in History: 70 Remarkable Women Who Made a Difference, Inspired & Broke Barriers. I was looking for a profound and empowering celebration of influential women throughout history, and I definitely found it in this book.Gail does an excellent job compiling the incredible real-life stories of 70 remarkable women from around the world. These short stories seek to inspire and empower women of all backgrounds to dream big and break barriers. From female daredevils and pioneering innovators to radical reformers, dedicated activists, leaders, wordsmiths, artists, veterans, and more, I was inspired by each woman's journey and the legacy she left behind. Some of the women highlighted include Junko Tabei, the first female to reach the summit of Mount Everest, Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first licensed African American Nurse, and Irena Sendler, who rescued 2,500 Jewish children in World War II. These are just a few of the remarkable women that readers will learn about in this book.Overall, Extraordinary Women in History is an inspiring and informative read. It's perfect for history fans, educators, and anyone interested in discovering the legacies of these remarkable women. I highly recommend it.

Quality poor - biographies great
Just arrived today! The quality of the covers and paper is dreadful; I would rather have paid extra for a decent quality book. The stories are good. I bought it for my teenage granddaughter so a perfect read for her.

Interesting but doesn't feel very well written
I bought this book because of the contents pages, which I read on the Amazon preview. What a great idea to write about all these inspirational women in history. However, I'm finding it really hard-going to actually read the book. The writing doesn't flow very well, and seems repetitive in places. It feels a bit confused because the sentences are very short and the 'profiles' of each woman are quite simplistic and light on details, but then you come across words that would be too obscure or complicated for younger readers, like they've been picked out of a thesaurus, when simpler words or phrasing would have been better. It's a shame because this feels like a book I'm going to have to persevere with and will probably not want to dip in and out of, just because it's such hard work to read.I feel frustrated when I'm reading it! And the more I read the more frustrated I get! Of the few figures I know something about, I'm sat there saying 'but why didn't you mention this? And what about this?'. There is a bibliography (although this is also not formatted correctly in a number of places) so obviously some research occurred but then pertinent details were not included - like the length of time Anne Frank was in hiding (2 years), instead of 'Frank's family went into hiding, but they were soon found' - this makes it sound like they were found straight away, like the whole of the time she actually spend writing her diary was negligible. And Noor Inayat Khan - 'Noor... returned from the Gestapo's captivity and imprisonment without uttering a word' - this makes it sounds like she came back alive. No mention that she was murdered at their hands, or of her last word 'liberté'.I feel harsh leaving a review of this depth but honestly I don't feel this has been proof-read at all! And it feels like I have wasted my money which is really annoying.
