According to the MSDS I have for it, it contains the same active ingredient that's used in many of the top brands, HEPD, which is the preferred metal sequestrant of many of the TroubleFreePool.com gurus. Chemical Name Wt.% CAS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1, 1-Diphosphonic Acid (HEDP) 30 - 50 2809-21-4 Phosphonic Acid < 0 - 2 13598-36-2 COMMENTS: Proprietary blend. Ingredients in this section have been determined to be hazardous as defined by 29CFR 1910.1200.

Q: Will this product remove cobalt?

It is suppose to eliminate all metal. It works in my pool

Q: Will this remove the iron from the bottom of my pool? I do not have a pool filter

I do not know if it will do that. I use it when I fill my hot tub and it has a filter.
