L'Oreal is spot on AGAIN. Perfect coverage & natural look
L'Oreal Feria Multi-Faceted Shimmering Hair Color, 63 Sparkling Amber, Light Golden BrownI purchased this exact color last week for a friend whom is a natural redhead. In her 20's her hair shade was of a medium to lighter auburn and would subsequently lighten quickly in the sun naturally. Now closing in on 50, like most people with red in their hair, light blonde and white is encroaching the widows peak, temples crown and the edges on back of neck. Many people with red hair or red IN their hair tend to shoot for a darker/redder color to clearly cover those spots, OR they shoot for a brassier/copper shade which 9 times out of 10 look UN-natural.Fortunately I had knowledge of what her hair looked like "back in the day". Sparkling Amber , light golden brown #63 title says a LOT. First, most reds should look more closely at lighter browns rather than reds for a clean true hair color look. The Sparkling Amber part informs you that red IS part of this formula, it is simply not over-bearing.I took the initiative and applied it for her. This ensures that problem areas are dealt with. I stuck clearly w/ the directions as far as the length of time the color should remain on the hair. After allotted time, we cleaned her hair then pat dried it as dry as possible, then went outside to allow air-drying.PERFECT ! !I missed nothing. I applied evenly ( this is an important step that many neglect) and it showed. Her hair color was soft looking yet VERY real. Due to her natural red shading, the red was accented with this coloring and the area in which white had taken control was blended perfectly. I am in no way a stylist nor colorist. I AM an artist whom understands colors and my friend has NEVER been as happy with a Solon color as she was with that afternoon. L'Oreal is a superior product anyway, but the exacting description in the title and the reference to existing colors before/after reference was SPOT ON. Again, L'Oreal makes its product to be in detail. It Succeeds !I WILL consult L'Oreal the next time coloring is due. Because we have changed the color in place, we will NOT use flavor # 63. From this experience we will look for a yet lighter brown/red coloring. What L'OREAL says the product will do is truly what to expect.
