Morley Hum Eliminator (MHE)

ErratumDear Amazon Team,A few days ago, I wrote a review of the Morley Hum Eliminator stating that it didn’t deliver on its promises. However, after further investigation, I realized I had connected it incorrectly. The product actually works, and I would like to know if it’s possible to replace my review with the following:"The Morley Hum Eliminator and the Humno work very well. The hum eliminator effectively addressed my specific issue, a ground loop in my amp's effects loop. However, it took me a while to pinpoint the problem. Initially, I tried various solutions like a hum exterminator, shielding pickup cavities, changing pickups, and different power conditioners, dismissing them as ineffective. It was only when I unplugged the cables in the effects loop and noticed the buzz disappearing that I realized the issue was there.Researching online, I discovered that an effects loop could cause a ground loop and generate the buzz. I experimented with placing the hum eliminator at different points in the effects loop chain—before the pedals, after the pedals, in between, etc. Eventually, I found the perfect spot that completely silenced the buzz. It worked! However, as evident, it required more effort than simply plugging it in one spot and determining it to be useless; it just needs to be applied correctly, which might involve some trial and error.Please don't expect this device to eliminate buzz originating directly from your guitar or pickups; it's not designed for that purpose.

I had super high hopes for this given the price and some of the reviews. The unit arrived yesterday, I plugged it on hoping for the best, and it made absolutely zero difference in the hum of my guitar/amp. I know there's a bad ground in one of my circuits of the house as unplugging a certain outlet will clear up the hum, yet for all the promises made this hum eliminator made zero audible difference to the static hum, in addition it seems to have a filtering effect that muddied the low mids of my strat. If you buy it, hopefully you have better luck than I did. For me this was an $80 waste of money I'll never plug in a second time.

It didn’t work for me because the humm wasn’t coming from the mic line. Ur was anther issue we had to replace. I recommend it if the problem is through the mic.

I run this on my tube amp effects loop and it keeps the tone while filtering out the strange voices and hums. Allows me to keep the amp on in the studio without a lot of noise.

Used between Computer and Mixer...Buzz gone!!!!!

I didn’t have a 60 cycle hum. Mine was a buzz and also a click sound whenever I touched a fret or the bridge on my Les Paul with humbuckers. This device made it much worse. To potentially save time, I also ordered an “ART CleanBOX II Hum Eliminator 2”. Same type of product, different brand. It substantially improved the buzz and the click sound. One thing to note, the Art device lowered the output volume so I was skeptical that it really worked. I used a boost pedal to boost the cleaned signal and it was loud again but still no buzz. HTH
