Not a happy camper. 200 bucks down the drain.
I was very excited to get this item but then was disappointed when it was packed with wrong parts. Mistakes happen but when there is no way to resolve it, and the item cannot be returned, then that's a problem. Spent about an hour trying to navigate the amazon system to try and get a replacement piece to no avail. They asked me to respond to an email with pictures and a description of the problem and were supposed to "investigate" and get back to me within 72 hours. That was a week ago and no response. The item is also NOT eligible for return. The problem is they packed the parts incorrectly, see pictures. The grill cross members I received with my item were packed incorrectly. One cross member is supposed to have an opposite slot to fit the grill top, mine came with two the same and the top of the stove does not go together, making it completely useless.I will have to figure something out but as far as customer service goes, it's non existent. While amazon is usually pretty helpful with these types of situations, that's not the case in this instance. You cannot contact anyone. All I needed was a replacement for one of the cross members of the stove top and I would've been a happy camper, but that doesn't seem to be possible.I gave two stars because it otherwise would have been a pretty nice item. But if they make a mistake, or you have an issue, you are SOL. Recommend looking elsewhere. Not to pile on but, the burn box has only 2 minuscule tack welds, doesn't look very confidence inspiring. The top chimney part is exquisite and is one piece but the bottom burn portion is made of a different material and is more of a C channel with the bottom of it being a separate piece, with a couple (and I mean 2) tiny little tack welds holding it in place. Maybe it would hold and it could be fixed up if something came apart but not having a working top grill, and absolutely no service whatsoever, makes this only 2 stars.

Solid, functional and excellent customer service
First of all, I want to mention that the customer service from this seller is absolutely phenomenal! My carry bag arrived with a tear and the seller provided quick communication and follow up to resolve the matter.Overall:The product itself is composed of very high-quality CNC cut and machined stainless steel, its HEAVY gauge, solid and basically bomb proof. The pieces lock together precisely without wiggle or force and come apart the same way. The balance of the completed assembly is rock solid and steady - In use, I did not feel I needed to 'balance' cookware on the cross braces or fear the thing would tip if I was not careful. This stove is not for backpacking - but suitable for any situation where you carry-in or tailgate. Built to last a lifetime. In Use:Getting it going requires some attending and feeding to build a base and establish the convection that draws air in and up. Start small with a flammable core and feed small fuel FROM THE TOP until you have a good burn. THEN feed the hopper when the burn is established. Once it gets going it is literally a rocket! Depending on the fuel, it runs virtually smokeless.Fuel is as noted - find it, snap it and feed it. Drier and harder woods produce a much cleaner burn and higher temp. I found the size of the individual sticks to be less important than keeping good volume in the hopper and feeding without forcing the wood down into the burn chamber. It WILL burn wet/pulpy or new wood (stuff that a campfire would hate) once going, but the burn is a bit smokey and not as hot.Heat and cooking:As far as cooking it's better, hotter and faster than any bottled fuel stove I have ever used. I was able to maintain veg oil at about 350-400 F for an hour (for deep-frying) using a lidded cast iron pot. Got a rolling boil out of 4 quarts of water in about 15 minus for pasta. You CAN control the temp by adjusting your fuel feed - pulling back or adding fuel on the fly, you just have to get a feel for how the stove behaves.I was surprised at the amount of fuel needed (or didn't need) to keep a good burn going. It's not as much as you would think, and you don't have to be all over it. You get a feel for how it eats sticks pretty Intuitively.Radiant heat from the stove is not much for body warmth, it's not like an open fire - as it is designed to push heat up instead of out. Like with ANY stove, you will burn yourself badly by coming in contact and it stays hot for a while so plan accordingly for pack-out.After Using:You will get discoloration in the steel as you use it, not an issue, but your shiny new toy will not be that shiny anymore. Buildup of soot is almost fully dependent on the quality of fuel you use. Hard/dry wood produces almost no soot. The stove parts are locked together in part with gravity, so you can actually pull it apart while still hot (see comments below) letting the parts cool more quickly. I have been throwing the parts into the dishwasher to clean and its been great. I did need to scrub it once after using some crappy fuel to get the soot buildup off. The individual pieces are easy to handle in your kitchen sink and you can definitely go a few rounds between cleaning if that is your thing. The steel edges are milled but can be SHARP, in a paper-cut way. Use some care when handling. The provided carry case will fit all the stove parts + warming tray, poker and some starter sticks. It's a tight fit but works.Accessories:Tray and poker - I got the warming tray and poker kit with my original purchase. They fit into the original bag with the main stove parts and are both SUPER USEFUL!! The tray is sold and locks into the main stove easily, and most importantly, does not mess with the balance of the stove. I have no fear of tipping the stove when placing loaded pans on it. The poker is probably the most important accessory - you will absolutely need a tool like this while using this stove. You basically push, pull, lift and adjust everything with it - get this one or have something else handy - YOU WILL NEED IT. A good example is, you are able to pull apart the hot stove with the poker tool and place the pieces out of the way to cool and dump the remaining embers into the fire pit without touching a thing.Grill Top - Got it, have not had a chance to use it.it's made up two solid pieces of cast iron, base and grill. I have test-fit it onto the stove and the balance and size are impressive, again no concerns about tipping (within reason!). Notably the grill part has a solid center in the grill area to disperse direct heat which should make good grilling zones without burn. My concerns are three with the grill - 1) as cast iron, I worry that an accidental drop could crack it apart 2) Cleaning it! Should I season it like a pot prior to using?? I can imagine it will be pretty gross after use. and 3) am disappointed that it did not come with a cary bag for the cost and for practical purposes, its awkward to carry and store the 2 parts by themselves and I don't know how best to deal with sherpa'ing this thing on trips - both before and after use.Summary:Thats it! TLDR: Excellent customer service / very high-quality product / useful and functional / useful accessories. Highly recommend, Do not hesitate to pay a little extra for this product as it will have a lifetime of satisfying use ahead.

Solid, functional, efficient, and easy to use
Heavy gauge steel does not warp under long length hi temp burns. This is heavy and is not really a backpacking item but I knew that going into it. The metal will patina when used and the inside will get soot built up. The amount of soot is dependent on the quality of the wood.Everything fits nicely in the carry bag and should last a very long time.Brought 36oz of cold tap water to a rolling boil in less than 15 min in 32deg F weather. Probably would have done better if I used the wind screen. Can’t leave the fire unattended for more than 10 min or you risk burning all your fuel down. It does need to be monitored to keep the fire going. Not usually a big issue as this is what I expected.I burned it for about 1h 30min and the ash build up blocked the bottom airflow holes. You could easily clean this out with the poker tool that I purchased separately with the warming tray. I just wanted to see about how long it would take to fill with ash. Obviously this is subjective on many different inputs but it should burn long enough to cook most items without issue.I would say the warming tray is very useful as is the poker but not sure it really gets warm enough to use as a warming tray. The grill attachment is also another extremely solid, useful, and heavy accessory that I would recommend.Overall very pleased with this purchase

Genius!
The one detriment of cooking on skewers is that guests trying to remove them with their fork or fingers always make a mess. These solve that age-old problem. There is a slider bar on the skewer that you hold and move downward and it easily and simply slides all meat and veggies off with it. No touching the juicy meat and ruining your napkin, no trying to use your fork to do it and sliding the meat across the table. Very simple, very easy.Geniusstainless steel so no rusting and attractive as well.
