Lightweight and Ultraportable without sacrificing stability
Great Tripod, Wanted something lightweight and easy to transport, that was also a solid usable tripod as well, and didn't totally break the bank. This has totally been a win for me.It packs down super small, and can get even smaller if you leave the center column at home. The biner/hook for hanging ballast/damper is pretty nice also, you don't have to mess with a retractable hook. I often put a large water bottle into the carrying bag and hang that, which works except the cord on the bag is rather thick ( which is actually quite nice) and can be hard to get in the clip.I haven't done anything crazy rough with it but the construction seems solid. It feels very sturdy and stable, esp without the center column.Very quick to setup, you can twist all the sections at once and let them fall out for each leg.The Arca-Swiss style quick release is great, and the safety-latch thing ( the -S part of the ball head model number I think ) is great. You can take things on and off without opening it all the way, and also be safe from things falling out if they get a little loose. Works with other std arcaswiss style brackets, I use it with an L bracket for my camera. The included bracket is nice, albeit very small. It also doesn't have a D-ring or anything to screw by hand, requiring an Allen wrench (included) or a coin or screwdriver. The ballhead is really easy to use, if a bit smaller than standard. I like the portableness of it, and if you needed a more stable/higher capacity one you could replace it. It has degree markings around the base part which rotates for panoramas and the like.Would be nice if it had retractable spike feet, or interchangeable feet. Some sample images. focal length (and 35mm-eqiv) and exposure time: 16(24)mm @8sec, 300(450)mm @10sec, 300(450)mm @5sec respectively.Shot on a D3300 with a nikon 16-80mm 1:2.8-4 VR and a 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6Keep in mind these were without really much additional attempt to avoid vibration (esp modulo my skill level here, first real tripod shots), with a somewhat meh telephoto, but they came out quite nice nonetheless.

Excellent travel tripod
Still a great travel tripod after years of use (albeit mostly indoors / urban areas) thanks to its incredibly compact form factor, and the ability to invert for ground-level angles. Nowadays there are better leg-locking mechanisms than the old-fashioned twist-locks, but they're still fast enough to work with. Quite happy with the ballhead as well

Go-to Tripod for Traveling
As a working photographer, I have many tripods. This is not the sturdiest, but it is by far the lightest, and most easily packed tripod I own, and it is sturdy enough to do the job. Consequently, whenever I travel (I do that a lot!), this is my go-to tripod. The legs can be deployed and adjusted quickly, and the ball head makes it really easy to position the camera at the desired orientation. I do recommend suspending a camera bag or some other heavy object in windy conditions, to provide further stability. Fortunately, again, this is easy to do. If you're worried at all about weight or space, this is an excellent choice, at a reasonable price!

Light and sturdy enough; but after hiking with it only 3 times a screw came loose and fell out while on the trail. It was still usable, but such a simple issue makes me suspect of the overall build quality.

I'm hooked on this travel tripod
I purchased the predecessor of this fine tripod (the T-005KX) about a year ago and managed to lose it on one of my trips. I missed it so much that I recently purchased this replacement. Happily, it has been upgraded to include a new Arca-Swiss mounting plate with a release button - important so that your camera doesn't accidentally fall off when removing the camera from the tripod. I really like the diminutive size of this fine tripod - I can strap it to my Lowerpro Flipside 200 backpack where it fits perfectly. It is a perfect companion to my Sony a6300 and works very well for me. Highly recommended as a take-along travel tripod. The engineering and finish on this little tripod is superb.

Compact but could be lighter.
Heavy but compact and sets up quickly and it’s sturdy enough. I take it when I’m hiking and I’m planning on taking some long exsposure shots. I thought the twist lock would take longer than I want to set up but you bearly have to twist them at all to free them. I can usually wrap my hand around all of them at once and lock/unlock them. Clip for added weight to secure in high wind, I clip my backpack or camera bag here if needed or if the ground is wet.

Best portable tripod
I must say this is the BEST portable tripod I have ever purchased. It is indeed much lighter than what I've had in the past and I likethe ball head. It just took me a little while to get used to not having handles to pan and tilt. It is quite sturdy. I use it primarily for myPanasonic Lumix G7 and my Nikon 5500. The carbon version is much lighter but I couldn't justify paying an extra 100.00.

Beware: The center column is FIXED in place and NOT adjustable!!
Please Note: The center column is FIXED in place and NOT adjustable!! This, IMHO, is a serious design flaw, as most photographers know that ANY tripod is at its' LEAST STABLE position when the center column is fully extended! I had heard of Sirui's good reputation for build quality and innovation, and wanted to try them out, but unfortunately, due to this design flaw, I cannot recommend this particular tripod. This should be a bullet point in any description of a tripod with a similar design! Perhaps a small point and shoot camera would work with this tripod, but for ANY serious work, I would NOT recommend this tripod or ANY tripod with a fixed center column!! Buyer beware! Thank you.
