Eh
I liked the concept of the book. What I didn't like was how fast the character fell in love and the fact that a lot of the book was them having sex. I like a good sex scene but not for it to be majority of the book. The writing was decent. Not as good as her book Ravens breath.

Witch Wanted, need not apply, you're true mate will find you
I have to admit I do not read much paranormal romance so I am surprised how much I like this book. The story begins with Aryiah educating herself on Wicca at the library due to strange feelings and dreams she's had for quite awhile. She is about to become someone of great power, a witch with a coven and charged with protecting the citizens of Ovialell--a new amazing world of witches, shape-shifters, wolves and vampires. She will also find herself face to face with her future mate, who in turn has been sent to teach her about being a witch and the many chances about to happen to her. The dark side of all this is her one friend in the human world, suddenly will become her enemy. This story has lot's of beautiful details, you will have no problem getting a feel and mental visual of Ovialell. This story has many levels to it, just the lure of the vampires and where they fall into place was amazing. There is some amazing erotic scenes between not only Aryiah and her mate, but also some secondary characters in the story *I do not want to give away any spoilers* but the scenes between Devin and Gage are HOT! I wanted to hate Devin, Aryiah's friend but I have to admit the girl is ballsy and a go getter.I'm looking forward to reading the next book...a great first book in a series for sure

Action, Suspense, Hott- Hott, Oh My!!!
This was a series I couldn't wait to get my hands on and now I'm ready for book 2. Aryiah, has felt like there was more to her life. Strange things begin to happen that she can't explain, so she sets out looking for answers by reading books of Wicca. With her best friend never taking anything serious, Aryiah keeps what she finds out and who she meets to herself. While in the mist of finding out the truth, Aryiah's life changes when Damarius comes along. Hott and ready to keep her safe is what he's all about!!! Damarius, must guide Aryiah to the life she was meant to have while danger lurks. This kept me on the edge which in turn became even more than I expected. A must read if you love great books with a bang!! *Contains Sexual Content Which Is NOT Suitable For Children*

Aradia Awakens is fast-paced, engaging, refreshing, and a must read.
Aradia Awakens is fast-paced, engaging, refreshing, and a must read. The characters are done well. They feel real, and I love how her bad guys are as much multi-dimentional characters as everyone else. In fact, one of my favorite characters in the book was a bad guy.I like how the book starts... with her fantasizing about dessert. It's so comical, considering her surroundings. It makes me immediately become enamored with the main character, allowing the reader to quickly become engaged, invested in the outcome.I also like how the book is organized. I am a strong advocate for short chapters. They make a book seem faster. And this book already moves quickly, even without the short chapters. There seemed to be a pull dragging me through the story, moving me forward toward some inevitable end. It moved along like a freight train. So quickly, in fact, that I checked to see if it was a novella and I didn't realize, but the paper copy is 376 pages, which is no novella.I kind of love Devin, but I've always been attracted to sassy, sarcastic, smart-alec characters. I mean, why else would I watch House? It certainly isn't for the medical accuracy...The book had just the right amount of cursing. Not so much that it felt like overkill but not completely devoid, which would seem silly. Especially with one of the characters being a bartender. The language is smooth, flows well. It feels natural, unforced. The book had me frequently laughing. It's very action-packed, filled with mystery and awe, but it didn't let that be all there was. And while the book seemed fairly predictable, I didn't mind because that was the only outcome I wanted. I might have been upset if things had gone down differently.Oh God, I loved the ending of this book! Just bloody brilliant! I've found, one of the biggest challenges for new authors writing series is making it feel like the book has ended while simultaneously leaving room for a continuing story arc. Here, the author does that perfectly. I finished the book, and immediately wanted to pick up the next one.
