Excellent Extender
This extender works perfect, i bought it to use with a Xonar Essence STX II audio card, i needed the extender because the only pci x1 slot available on my Asus z87 Sabertooth motherboard is too close to the GPU and blocks airflow to the GPU fans. I have a huge case with support for ultra and extended atx, so i had many extra expansion slots to use below the motherboard. After flipping both ends of the extender around, it was basically plug and play. The audio card has worked flawlessly, way down in the basement of my case, far away from the GPU, which is the way i like it. After several weeks of use it is still holding up strong and working great. I would highly recommend this PCI x1 Extender from SuperPlus, it has been an excellent product so far.

Solution to use PCI-E 1X slot blocked by Graphics Card
My EVGA GTX 1070 SC was blocking the PCI-E 1X port just below it. I previously tried the one piece 1X riser adapters that appeared to be poorly done Chinese soldering that sat up too high and were still blocked by the graphics card in the 16X spot. This extension was my last hope before pulling off the cooler on the GPU and replacing it with NZXT Kraken G12 or G10.Luckily this fit... Just barely. I had to remove a piece of metal decoration held on to the graphics card by four hex screws. Once removed, it allowed the graphics card to seat correctly with the 1X extension in place. The EVGA GTX 1070 is a tight fit so I imagine this would work with any current variant of the GTX line. I previously tried the 90 degree 1X extension and the one piece extension. Neither worked. A 1X to 16X riser also wouldn't work because the USB cord wouldn't clear the GPU.This worked great!

Not reliable
This comes with a short (default) and long ribbon cable. I tried using this for a PCIe x1 network card with both cables and it's not reliable at all. The long cable either eventually causes a device error code 10 (device failed to start), or the device just malfunctions randomly. The default cable didn't work at all. I plugged the NIC straight into the PCIe x1 slot and it ran without issues. I'm not sure if I got a dud or not.

It was my last hope and yes, it worked!
Like I have read in other reviews...good thing they give you that extra longer cable. I like many others are trying to make use of that pcie slot buried under the GPU. I've read about one guy that ground out some of his GPU cooling fins in order to allow this to fit under. I couldn't stomach the thought. I decided that chopping off about 1/8" of the male pcie end was a better option. Make it a strong eighth. I used my butcher scissors and a file to touch it up. Frigging' worked. I was able to install that wireless card without giving up my Claro Halo. Advice...practice on the short cable and then implement the longer one. Do not bent toward the ground as per the way your mobo sits. Bent up and away from the locking bar. You'll see. Bending down and over the locking bar will shatter/crack and splay the pins. Best of luck.

Cheap. Got the job done.
Feels cheap, but it was cheap so no complaints there, just an observation. Gets the job done. In my case, the job was accommodating a wireless card in a pcie slot that was obstructed by my gpu's fat cooler. The excess strip was then able to get caught in the GPU fan blades, but this was resolved thanks to a partially tightened zip tie. Also includes a blue light that I was unaware of. Not exactly matching with my red and black theme, but thankfully I've got it tucked under my fat GPU cooler so it's not very visible.

Great solution for a blocked pci express port.
I bought an Acer Aspire TC780 AMXKI5 desktop and decided to install a Sata III Pci express card to accommodate an SSD hard drive.I then decided to upgrade the graphics card to an EGVA 730 2g low profile graphics card and found that the slot for the pci express was blocked by the fan housing of the video card. This cable saved me.... It just fit perfectly. nice product . I did not need the longer cable provided and the shorter cable was already pre-assembled .

Flexible. Not Soldered. Length Extendable. Useful for accessing blocked PCIe 1x slots.
This has worked wonders for me using my wifi card with a vertical GPU mount. Unlike many other extenders on Amazon that have soldered parts this uses latches to hold the wires in place which help prevent it from breaking when bending. The photo of the item makes it seem like it has a short cable but it comes with an additional replacement cable that is practically double the length and swapping them is quite simple.
