FIRE HAZARD DO NOT BUY
This was in my sons room for several months plugged in via the included usb cord using my own usb power plug. While rearranging the room I noticed the battery box, that is permanently fused in the middle of the cord length that ends in a usb connector, had what looked like condensation inside and was hot. I opened it up to discover the condensation was actually where the plastic had melted around the diode. The clear insulated wired leading into and out of the diode thing were charred to a dark brown and the side wall of the diode housing had a brown mark like a spark hit it or something. See pictures. The light was still working. Massive fire hazard here. How is Amazon legally aloud to sell cheap and dangerous unlicensed and unregulated products from abroad in the US?

Great item. Needs 3 AA batteries. It does not stand on its own. But we got a bit creative!
