How to Teach Story Writing at Key Stage 1 (Writers' Workshop)

This is the best/most practical talk for writing book I have come across. I went on a course of talk for writing in the early years and many of the ideas presented there are described in the book. However the book also presents further ideas that can be used with a class to develop their understanding of a story and to develop their talking and thus their writing.

An excellent book for a teacher in training ! (Me) but also for qualified teachers. Great supportive ideas with full details. This has given me the confidence to teach story writing!

Lots of useful ideas for planning and story-telling methods

Just what I wanted - sold as new but clearly used - well thumbed, corners dunted, but I need it for class so do not have time to wait for a replacement. Disappointing as expensive.

I have used this quite a bit in my planning and have seen the real benefits and advances children made with their story writing.
