Blue Buffalo Wilderness Natural Kitten Dry Cat Food, with DHA and ARA to Support Brain and Eye Development, High-Protein and Grain-Free Diet, Chicken, 2-lb Bag

i've been feeding my cats blue buffalo for years... it's a great company, and in my opinion, one of the best cat foods out there. A while back one of my girls passed away... and eventually I got a new kitten, he's a maine coon so he needs a high protein diet. My my short haired calico kept eating his royal canin kitten food, and he was eating her blue buffalo... I tried everything I could to get them to not eat each other's food, but it was much harder than I thought to do that. (they don't have set feeding times with their dry food, they just have food out all the time) Then I discovered that blue buffalo has a wilderness line for cats like maine coons who need a high protein diet. I did some research and found out that it would be more harmful to have him not on a high protein diet...whereas my calico won't be affected if she is on one. So I switched to this line for both. My next challenge was making sure he was getting the kitten food so he gets all the nutrients he needs to thrive and that my 6 year old gets the adult food with the nutrients she needs to thrive... again, this was easier said than done so I just mixed the two of them. I don't know if this is 100% the best option in the world, but it's all I could figure out to make sure they were both getting the essentials that they need and since it's the same brand that my 6 year old has had her whole life, it was an easy switch and since my maine coon a kitten and is pretty recently on solid foods, it was nothing to switch him over to this line too. They both love it. I also got wet food cans. The wet food is much easier to separate so he got the kitten and she got the adult and I guess we lived happily ever after. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol if they're happy and getting the essentials they need to be healthy and thrive then I'm happy. Thanks to blue buffalo, I was able to figure this out which works best for us and it's only for the next few months or so anyway before they'll both be on the same adult food. There's no smell, the price is inexpensive for the quality of the product, and neither of my cats have thrown up or had any issues in the litter box. This is important because my calico throws up like once a week from eating too fast even though she has a slow feeder. She's been eating it for two days and hasn't thrown up yet...crossing my fingers!!

Excellent dry food for my kitty. Healthy ingredients and excellent company. Will only buy this brand. Worth it Update- 5th time purchasing

Our new baby kitten loves this food! He comes running when he hears me opening the bag. Quality of the food seems great and he has no issues with his stomach or anything. He is healthy and gaining weight just as he should on this food.

Our kitten really loves this food. We have been taking longer than recommended to convert from another kitten food because we have so much of the cheap kitten food. Compare the ingredients from this food to your old food and you’ll see how much healthier. No cheap fillers that are useless. Also, we have to keep the Wilderness in a cupboard where the our kitten can’t get at it. This never was the case with the cheaper brand.

I use this for treats, my cats love to play "wilderness kitty" and chase these around the floor. They get some as a supplement to the Tiki Cat wet food, but I will eventually try to wean them off dry food except as the occasional treat. Some vets are perfectly OK with dry food, but having done a lot of research into chronic kidney disease in cats, I think wet food is better for long term health.

My cats love this food. They are two tabby kittens of 27 weeks. At first, I thought the food was gonna be too hard, although they wasn’t going to like it due to the smell, which is strong by the way, but it did not matter to them. They loved it. And I will continue to use this brand.

Good ingredients. No byproducts meat. Kitty loves it.

Where so I begin, this is ideal for a kitten in my honest opinion. He enjoys not only the dry food but also the wet food from Blue Buffalo. The ingredients and freshness is by far amazing. I know he is loving. The appearance, he is happy and when my boy is happy I stick with what gives him happiness. And it's great value for my money. I love it and I will continue to get it.
