I read about this product and its use by the Japanese to prevent and dissolve blood clots. My local doctor was skeptical and wanted me to stay on Coumadin, which was causing me heartburn and then my doctor wanted me to go on another drug to treat that( This is how Big Pharma takes over your body one side effect at a time) Coumadin only keeps further blood clots from forming and I was told I would always have a blood clot scar in my vein. Well after taking one 100mg Nattokinase pill twice a day for three months I returned to my doctor to have a Doppler image done on my leg. To the shock of my doctor and the Doppler tech my blood clot was completely dissolved. This supplement saved my life. I take 100mg once a day for one week each month as maintenance and also garlic and fish oil and I am off all medications. It time for American doctors to learn about something other then drugs.

5 stars because I have had no adverse reaction. I take only one per day because of a DVT in my right leg possibly due to my right medial ligament injury on the treadmill 2 and a half years ago which is still a problem with walking and forced me to be on crutches and on the couch for months back then. Does it work? I do not know but hope so because I refuse to take Eloquis.

I bought two nattokinase products several weeks ago. I took a single softgel of Allergy Research Group Nattokinase before breakfast on the first day and experienced pain, nausea, bloating, and gas starting in the evening and lasting well into the next morning. I thought I was having an acute gall bladder attack which I had had once before about six or so years ago.I had started three other herbals that same morning and couldn't be sure if it was one of the supplements or perhaps diet that had caused the trouble so, in the subsequent days, I changed my diet somewhat and eliminated one or another of the supplements. After three or four days of having the same type of episode I eliminated the nattokinase and the symptoms stopped. I noticed that the ARG nattokinase has soy oil added so I figured I may be allergic to soy. It's also not clear whether soy allergens remain after the extraction and purification process.Four days later - without any symptoms - I started taking Source Naturals Nattokinase. By late afternoon I was in pain again with the same symptoms. Source Naturals has no soy oil in their product so that eliminated soy as a possible cause (although not completely depending on the results of the production process).I don't know what nattokinase is doing in my gut - I wasn't about to continue the experiments further and work on other variables - but I do know that it's not for me. I haven't seen any reviews that mentioned this particular reaction to nattokinase but if anyone has had such symptoms it might benefit others if they made it known.
