NOT permanent, smudges easily, not ideal for mail
I had two problems with this ink pad 1) The ink was not distributed evenly so part of my stand was darker than the other. I had to correct for this by placing my stamp on the pad once, then flipping the ink pad upside down and then placing my stamp on the pad again. This was tedious and unnecessary. My biggest complaint was 2) After stamping and letting dry for about 10 minutes, the ink on my envelopes was transferred everywhere. So, when I grouped all my envelopes together in a pile, I noticed that ink was smudging everywhere even though it was dry. Over 30 christmas cards RUINED! I was not happy with the stamp for my purposes. Maybe it's because this stuff is washable? Who knows. I think this would be great for someone who wanted to do a craft and wanted to wash this off easily but not a great item for use with mail. Sadly I have to toss this in the trash and get something else.

The first few smudged terribly, wasted money having to throw out invites
The back of it says it's meant to be blended. Used these for wedding invites not knowing that, I don't see it anywhere in the description. The first few smudged terribly, wasted money having to throw out invites. I tested the next few, let them dry for days - 3 days later still not dried. Never seems to dry. I ended up doing the rest by spraying hairspray a couple hours after stamping, laying them all out separately, letting them dry for a day or so. Not the ideal solution. Probably great if you're wanting to blend, not at all if that's not the intent.

Takes forever to dry
Takes forever to dry, causing lots of smearing with stamping of envelopes. I literally would stamp and the next day after letting it sit it would smear if touched. I experimented with even lighter touches and even pre stamping on a paper first to pre blot the stamp.I would not buy again, this is not good for stationary. Maybe best for kids to play with.

Great color and shimmer
Great color and shimmer, but the pad is very spongy so that when you press down on it, the whole pad collapses and very little ink actually gets into whatever you're using. For me it was for a fingerprint tree for my wedding guestbook. Guests basically had to swipe their finger back and forth rather than press down to the get the ink on their finger. Nevertheless, the color transferred well and looks great, even though the detail of the fingerprints didn't really transfer over.

Good stamp pad
Arrived in good condition and it works like it ought to work. The pad is moist with ink, the color is solid and nice dark black, the cover fits squarely over the pad (although could be easily knocked off if you're someone whose cat likes to rummage through your stuff...and that could be a mess, so you might want to store this where the cat can't get to it. Ask me how I know this). No complaints about the product itself, although a latching lid would be a great upgrade.

20+ years of using this brand and never disappointed!
I have never been disappointed with ink pads from ColorBox and that includes this purchase. I have used this brand for 20+ years and a variety of sizes and I love them all. The quality is great and the value for price is awesome. They will last you for a very long time if you store them upside down so the ink stays in the top of the ink pad. I love all of my ColorBox ink pads!

Lengthy Dry Time
We used it on Christmas cards & customer invoices w/various Holiday stamps. Not sure of the differences in inks but this one will smear until completely dry...45-60 min depending on material its used on. Needless to say I made a few messes before figuring this out. However once it is dry it has an amazing high quality look to it. So if you don't mind waiting....

Ink Me!
ColorBox is a great stamp ink company. Their inks are opaque and will show up on all different colors of paper, showing up as the same color, where as other brands can be more of a liquid ink and will act like a marker, only showing up as their true color on white paper. This brand is a little more pricey, but it's superior quality, working on any material and any color. I would only go with a different brand if I was only working on white paper.

Thin
I waited excitedly for a yellow pigment stamp pad, but my excitement turned to disappointment. The colour is great but th pad is so very, very thin. Won't last long at all. I'll choose a different supplier in the future.
