Buen producto, pesimo software
Me llego hoy mi impresora y quería escribir un review de producto. Después de varias horas logre hacer que funcionara. En teoría no es nada complicado pero la aplicación móvil y el programa para la computadora estan fatal.Lo primero que intente fue bajar la app a mi NOTE 20. La aplicación me apareció como no disponible para México, por lo que busque la ultima versión apk y la instale. Una vez instalada, me di cuenta que tiene muchos errores y no hubo manera de imprimir ni una sola buena impresión. Creo, gaste más de la mitad del cartucho de ribbon. Como la app no funciono, instale el programa para mi computadora, y pues resulta que los controladores ni el programa son compatibles con WINDOWS 11. En este punto ya llevaba 2 horas tratando de imprimir algo y nada. Contacte servicio cliente de Brother y tampoco solucionaron nada. Acto seguido, me fui a Amazon para hacer el proceso para regresar el producto. Pero le di otra oportunidad usando mi MAC, ahí baje el programa y sin ningún problema pude hacer que imprimiera lo que necesitaba como debe de ser. Por lo que SOLO FUNCIONA CON MAC. Con Windows, no se si teniendo una versión más vieja de sistema operativo funcione.Después trate de instalar la app en un iPhone y tampoco se pudo. Deje por la paz la app y decide quedarme con el aparato y usar el programa de la MAC (digo, no es cómo que tuviera mucha opción)Es una lastima porque una vez que funciono el resultado fue muy bueno.La primera foto es el resultado impreso con la app, solo imprimia una parte del pattern, y lo demás en blanco. La segunda fue con el programa instalado en la MAC, todo muy bien.Por esta razón le doy 3 estrellas, de nada sirve que el producto sea bueno si los programas con los que debe funcionar son muy malos y la la empresa no es capaz de darte respuestas.

Would be 5 stars but...
I want to be able to add my own TT fonts, there aren't many cursive options at all. I thought this would be better than my basic label maker but the real difference is being able to print on ribbon or colored tape. Please add the ability to upload TTF fonts!!!

Easy once you get the RIGHT app!
So I tried to get this working on my phone and/or my computer for about a week off and on. On my phone I downloaded P-touch Design and Print 2. I didn't realize it was the wrong one. I tried and tried to get it to recognize my printer but it wouldn't give me a choice of that model and the Bluetooth search wouldn't show it. I downloaded the app on my computer and it too wouldn't work as it said I needed to update the driver. I was about to call Brother for help, thinking something was defective on my machine. Then I browsed their website and found a page that gave me the app, the driver, and the Brother app... I installed them all, and the app again. This worked! I also found that I did the wrong app on my phone and it should just be Design and Print, without the 2. Note: You will need your box to enter your machine's serial number when you set up your account.So I went to design the ribbon you see in the photo. I was able to upload my photo (for the Hi in His). I was able to find some nice borders, including vines... how perfect! The selection of options isn't huge, but being that you can bring in simple designs it's fine. I have a background in computer art and do crafting with a cutting machine, so the app itself was easy enough to figure out, but if you are not computer savvy it may be too difficult to do advanced designs. I however didn't see how to cut a V into the end of the ribbons, just the flat cut.I am thrilled with the results! It comes out professional looking and stunning! It's truly a satin feel and the print meshing right into it. The cartridge was easy to pop in. However they don't currently have a lot of replacement cartridges available... especially the 1" ones. I hope they get the red with gold soon as it would be beautiful for Christmas themed things! I recommend this to any crafters who want to up your game... pretty easy and elegant.
