Q: while its charging is it supposed to flash really fast or does it work only while it is pluged in

Charging? I only connect it once a week or so, I believe it interferes with other running programs. Its dialog box is not user friendly. You really have to dig to make it work your way. Still, it is quite useful.

Q: Is there an adapter to make this product wireless?

none that I'm aware of unless you can find a third party mini usb to wifi adapter

Q: What cords does this require? I lost all mine about 3 years ago and dont know what it takes.

They take Premium USB 3.0 to Micro USB Charge & Sync Cables and an AC/DC Adapter. But to be honest, I wouldn't dare get any Seagate product. Twice I had valuable data lost because of their flimsy hard drives, including this one. The second time, I thankfully had a back up on Carbonite. Just make sure you back your stuff up if you use it.

This one is USB 2.0 No ethernet connector comes with it
