Just a song book nothing else.
Theres quite a few tunes you might recognise in this book and quite a few you wont. A large number seem to be Czech in origin, probably reflection of the authors origins. So for Czech people you can ignore me (obviously an ignorant foreigner)This book presents the various songs in both musical notation and numbers. With the tongues (notes) numbered from left to right 1 to 11. (The word used in the book for each note is lamella ,which is I believe technically correct.)The number system is demonstrated at the start of the book but not well explained.Taking the B 11 in hand, from left to right,The top row is 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11.The bottom row is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10.The numeric tablature is presented on two lines, top line numbers played by the left thumb. Bottom line numbers played by the right thumb.A diagram with the numbering system displayed and an explanatory note of the tab system wouldn't have killed anybody. Ultimately this is just a collection of melodies quite a few a little childish but on the whole not a bad collection to learn your way around the Hokema B11 Melody.Note that no lyrics are included either. Just melodies.A bit more organisation (Simple to hard) would have helped.Probably will buy the 2nd songbook as well.
