good item but way too overpriced
I love to paint and use mostly acrylic. I've tried many canvases before and have seen it all from amazing quality to ones that were quite bad. I usually get medium priced ones, flying tiger has a great selection of sizes and shapes and they are very well priced. This canvas board from Arteza is brilliant quality, to be honest I expected a raised canvas but this is quite a flat one and it was probably my bad for not reading the description as it's titled a canvas board. Anyway, it's great quality front to back, the canvas is very tightly secured at the back and it's very smooth. I usually use a layer of white acrylic first as sort of a primer before I start painting to make the colours more stand out and stick better but this canvas board already comes primed which is a bonus.I think this is however very overpriced for what it is, it's about an A4 size and currently priced at £9.99, I don't think this is great value for money to be honest hence why I have taken some stars off the rating.

Good quality
Good quality canvas board.I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.Ok so normally, I would use a canvas of this expense, on a custom project but the little one wanted a unicorn picture, so we did that instead! This is very good quality. The canvas is wrapped around an MDF board, so it's nice and sturdy, durable too. The size is roughly 23cm x 30.5cm.Pencil works lovely, the grain doesn't effect it too much, I've had some previously where the grain made the pencil go out of line!Paint worked beautifully. The canvas didn't absorb it all and leave you dry. It went on smoothly and allowed layers.I also used white and black pen on this picture. These also went down very well, without the grain effecting it also.I would recommend this canvas baord. It is good quality and worth the price. Obviously if you're looking for fun little projects, you may want a cheaper alternative.

A decent 12” by 9” canvas board – a bit pricey at around a tenner currently
This is a single canvas board by the Arteza brand measuring twelve by nine inches and is currently around a tenner from Amazon. My mother-in-law is a budding artist and enjoys using acrylics mainly – for which this 100% cotton Gesso-primed surface is ideal. A lot of people have rekindled their interest in painting since the BBC started the reruns of the Bob Ross programmes so products like this canvas should prove to be popular at present. The Gesso-primed surface is good – but probably better suited to enthusiastic amateurs than professionals – and is secured to a solid MDF board. This is a useful size frame but there are various sizes available from Arteza - so you should find a size that suits you if this one don't. Probably better with acrylics and oils, rather than watercolours, this cotton canvas is a good step on your way to producing a fine work of art – a bit expensive compared with some others but good quality – four stars for value at the price.

Why branding attached?!
I started oil painting this year so I happily gave this one a try. I love the size of it - you can create something with impact which will look great when framed. The front of the panel has the canvas texture and I didn't notice any imperfections in it. It saves a lot of time having gesso applied too so you can start painting. The back I didn't like for the fact the Arteza branding and information is all printed onto the back rather than it being a loose addition. Even if you don't see it, I feel it loses quality by being there - I'd have preferred plain white and no branding. I use Winsor and Newton oil paints and they apply easily. I don't understand the pricing at all with 1 board costing £9.99 but the 14 pack works out at £1.57 each but again, I wouldn't say these were for professional use with the branding attached but they are absolutely fine for a hobby. Just don't buy a single board at that price.

Excellent Quality Front to Back
I know this canvas might seem pricey for just one because that’s what I thought initially, but I really do have to say that the quality is brilliant. I have been wanting to do a drawing and painting with my 12-year-old daughter for a while now and this size was exactly what I had in mind. The canvas is pure white and tightly secured to the back, the surface is textured as expected. It is completely flat and sturdy and doesn’t need a backing to support it while you’re working on it. Easy to store away while you’re not working on it and so easy to draw on, we were using charcoal pencils for our sketches and then acrylic paint pens to finish. Also, when mistakes were made we could rub them out without causing any surface damage. Can’t fault it and our ‘masterpiece’ is almost complete 😊

Decent quality but overpriced.
This canvas board arrived simply packed and in perfect condition.I do a lot of art, using various media. I have various brands of canvas and board from most price bands, and there's usually a difference in quality reflected in the price.I was looking forward to trying this Arteza board. It's well made, smooth and nicely finished. The surface is good, and the backing is neat. That's about as positive as I can be though.Personally I think this is expensive for a single board. Bearing in mind that I can buy a good quality canvas (not 'just' board) for the same price I know which I prefer, and which looks best. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not as good as I had hoped.Currently priced at £9.99 for the single board. Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

Ready to just unwrap and use
The canvas is 9 inches x 12 inches in size. No set way to use, so can be portrait or landscape. The canvas itself is of good quality 350gsm. Its constructed well, being stretched over a strong and stable mdf board core and glued at the back with a white backing over the top. 100% cotton surface, its suitable for a variety of media to be used including oil and acrylic paints. Ready to be used and painted on straight away. Perfect for any ages and suitable all abilities. A perfect blank canvas to be able to create your own art work. A nice solid board with a good taught film canvas.
