GAME CHANGING BARS
Like Indiana Jones, we (my biz partner and I) have been searching for the Holy Grail of nutrition bars for a lifetime (well, about 20 years). We're food and health coaches. We also invented a gizmo that has nothing to do with nutrition. But I digress. We've loved Orgain for years (the shakes). We even give health talks to college kids, and the good folks at Orgain have always supported these kids. We came to them simply asking for a discount years ago, as we don't take a fee for these talks and try to give these kids loads of awesome healthy stuff to take home and try along with the education to understand how to use them. They said 'whatever we needed, they had our backs.' Good company. The shakes are a proven winner, and were invented by Doctor Andrew Abraham, who had cancer, beat it, and it thriving. He was sickened by all the chemicals and preservatives laden in Ensure and other such "nutrition" drinks...so he created a balanced organic nutrition shake. And now, bars. We were skeptical when they went to bars. I first read the ingredients, and they looked so good, I thought...welp, these are gonna taste like barn paste. The balance of protein, carbs, and fat however was right in line with our philosophy, so that was cool. Made with all organic ingredients. Vegan. Soy free. Dairy free. Gluten free. Non GMO. Uses a sugar alcohol, erythritol, to help sweeten, which is the only fermented sugar alcohol, and is the only one that doesn't cause gastric distress like others. Add to that a lil' bit of sugar, and organic vegetable glycerin which also naturally sweetens without raising insulin levels. Sugar alcohol and fiber have no effect on insulin, and are not digested by the body. Therefore, you back out the fiber + erythritol to get your net carb number. Ok so blah blah blah. HOW DO THEY TASTE? I'll just come out with it. They are, to quote comedian Dave Chapelle, the SHNIZNITTLEBAMSNIPSNAPSALLY! (aka fantastic!) Every. Single. Flavor. And so filling, and the PERRRRFECT consistency. I know I know. This review sounds so fake, like the owner has dirt on us or something if we don't play ball. But let us assure you, this review is real. We ourselves sell our invention on Amazon and have NEVER paid for a review, nor given out product for the promise of a BS review. We absolutely can't stand that. And we can promise you this review is earned. As soon as we tried them, we bought 60 cases in mixed flavors, to hand out to our friends and clients. This is our MO anytime we discover something new and great. The reviews have been outstanding. S'mores seems to so far be the crowd favorite, but we have heard not a single negative review for any flavor. Some like the peanut butter the best as it's less sweet, some the cookie dough, and some the peanut butter chocolate chunk. We're telling you folks, we've tried every single bar on the market. Well, that may be a bit of a brash statement...we're sure plenty haven't necessarily crossed our radar...but we seek this stuff out. These Orgain bars are the perfect size, perfect calorie count, and great first thing in morning, for in between snacks...and for kids (and adult kids!) to take to school. You also don't need to refrigerate them. They aren't candy bars mind you, but boy are they good and totally satisfy your hunger and sweet tooth. And Orgain ain't perfect. Look I don't care for their strawberry shakes at all...yet my niece loves them so much she makes popsicles with them...go figure. But one thing we love about this company is the integrity of the people behind it, which is infused into every single product they make. We may not like all their offerings, but doesn't take away from how well they are made. But listen, I'm tellin' ya...GET THESE BARS. You can't go wrong with any flavor. Love them all. And if you don't like them guess what? Amazon has free returns! So take advantage and give them a shot. We're so excited about these things. Bet it's hard to tell huh? ;-)

Great for vegan
For vegan protein bars, this is one of the best I've found. The texture is like a paste- you could ball it up in your hand like hard cookie dough. This flavor is good.

Great taste and ingredients but a little too sweet
I really like these protein bars, it doesn’t have too much fiber which bothers my system. Healthy ingredients, soft and chewy. Very tasty. The four stars is because it was a little too sweet. Would prefer a little less sugar.

impressively holds me over all day long, good taste & texture, pricy though
Mixed reviews, but I decided to give them a try anyway because I like Orgain products, AND it was on sale, bringing it closer to $1 per bar. I bought the S'mores, and I find them incredible. I expected a strong protein taste, and at first I thought I was picking them up. But I think the initial opening of the packet released some off gassing, and so my first bite seemed to taste protein-y. However, the rest of it was divine. I didnt gobble it all down at once. I tend to chomp on these through my work day, so I take a bite then set aside for awhile, then return to it as needed. I work a physical job and so it isn't easy to just eat a meal. I also need something that can stick to my ribs. I was really pleasantly surprised that I could eat just this and get through my day. I think I had an apple (cut up for same ease of munching) along side it. It wasn't a fluke, because i did it again the next work day, and had same results. So the protein used is a long burner. Coffee, orgain bar, sliced up apple. All good. All day. Taste? good. Not too sweet Texture? awesome. Has a good chew. If warm (like sitting in car) it gets a little goey, but it stays solid- no mess. I like the bits of chocolate. Adds good mouth feel. I'm a big fan of loading up my purse with snack bars-- again, I work a physical job with no real breaks. I like knowing I have something to nibble on as need be. I would also grab for this when I want something candy bar like, and not worry about taking the sugar hit. I just find it all around pleasant, and will likely buy it again (though preferably on sale), and likely try other flavors.

Bars are okay - very soft/chewy and sugars are a little high
I am a big fan of the Orgain Collagen products; have been purchasing for over 4 years now and decided to give Orgain's protein bars a try. Overall, the bars are okay. Flavor is good but they are a soft/chewy type of bar - pasty would be a way to describe them. Was like eating cookie dough which may appeal to some but we prefer a more harder/sturdier bar. Nutrition content is good but a little high on sugar than some other bars. We'll likely not get these bars again.

Phenomenal
I wanted a delicious snack and this is it. I love the consistency. It’s not chewy and beyond delicious. I will order more. Highly recommended

Bland peanut flavor. Sandy, greasy lumpy. Sweeteners taste like chemistry, upset stomach
Bought all through Fall-winter 2025. Hoped to love these since we need extra protein, and we can’t double up on their great vegan protein shakes since those would give too much iron for elderly bodies (the vegan Orgain shakes are ebt-eligible and very nutritious, with lots of vitamins and minerals, and even a pinch of fruit-veg powder). But for us, these bars don’t match the quality of their shakes. Even though the bars are ebt-eligible and decent protein, we are disappointed that the peanut butter flavor is bland (but at least not awful), there are no added vitamins-minerals or whole food powders, there is a weird flavorless sandy grit crunching all through ALL of them (like dropped on beach then ate anyways), there are sharp shell pieces all through many of them, the texture is sort of greasy-dry, the peanuts seem green-unripe or ancient, and the sweeteners are scary, taste like a chemistry lab and upset our stomach. We would be loyal fans if the quality of these bars matched their shakes. But until then, we are going with shakes plus other brands of bars — Trubars, Larabars, Rise bars, and even No-Cows, which each have some combo of more whole foods, no lab sweeteners, less grit, and better flavors, but are not always ebt-eligible.
