Love this Witcher World
I am absolutely in love with this fantasy series. I devoured the first book (The Last Wish) and now also this one. I loved the stories. The language and style of writing is so good and smooth, I only want to read as fast and as much as I can. I only wish some stories were told a bit more chronologically, because like this, I had to google out some events and facts to make sure I am following the story properly and correctly. But apart from that, I love everything about this book.

!!
Sword of Destiny is another collection of short stories set in The Witcher world where Geralt of Rivia has more adventures and meets his destiny. I love this world and the stories Sapkowski writes. In this collection we got to see more of Geralt's character and his relationship with Yennefer. We saw characters from The Last Wish but we were introduced to new ones as well. The relationship between Geralt and Ciri is like a father - daughter one and I really liked how this was shown. My favourite story is The Sword of Destiny where Geralt meets his child of destiny, Ciri.I cannot wait to pick up the first full novel.

Read this second
Sapkowski is a great writer but the storyline of the Witcher is a bit confusing as he started writing it as short stories for a newspaper before going to novels. This should be the second book you read! It's short stories that will make your understanding of the rest of the story so much easier.

Brilliant
Fantastic book to read, and it has a lot of similarity with the netflix show, so the show doesn't go too offroad with the lore. Also get to see hidden dialogues and mini stories that the netflix doesn't show

Really good, but there are a few flaws. Read The Last Wish first.
The stories weren't as thrilling as in The Last Wish, but it is a great book albeit a little hard to read at times, due to the poetic rants characters go on when they're talking about love. I really enjoyed it and it sets the stage for the coming larger story quite nicely. Each short story in this book has its own message/meaning/moral and really delivers. There was a single one I just didn't understand though.Definitely start with The Last Wish if you haven't read that, as there are references to events that transpired in it.

and based on viewing my housemates enjoyment of the game I thought I'd sample this before ...
Still half way through this book but I am enjoying it very much. I bought this as it's the first book in the Witcher series, and based on viewing my housemates enjoyment of the game I thought I'd sample this before playing it. I will be getting the next book in the series when I finish this, and have already ordered the game, looking forward to it!This translation is also very good quality, I've read translations in the past that sometimes confuse the occasional bit, but this is flawless.
