Must read for every parent
Best book ever for parents of late talking kids. Absolute must read for every parent dealing with this issue. Very down to earth the most helpful book from all ( and I think I read every book available on the subject ) Very common sense advice and technics described, so simple and so efficient , truly helped me and my Son. Just watch and "listen" what child is "telling" you , even without words amazing how much they "tell" us if we are willing to "hear" them. I wish i read this book first before newly created histeria books about possible this and that without any practical advice. Some kids just speak later then others and that's it.

It works!!!!!!!!!!!
This book provided me peace of mind and guided me on how to properly use all the tactics to help my child. After thirty minutes of reading this book, I started putting the information read into effect. My three year old said a new word in those first thirty minutes. This book has not only helped my child, but it has also helped me as a parent to have patience and to understand that my child will talk at her own pace. I had many fears, and this book has helped me to understand how to deal with them and help my child with her speech. Thank you!!!!

Book is good so far, but the Kindle version sucks.
The page number don't match with the Kindle version, as they said it does. xiii is actually page 14, NOT a page in the preface as the roman numerals suggest. It's really annoying, as the book references pages in other sections quite often, and not having the number match up makes it nearly impossible to find what they're referencing.I only settled for the Kindle version because the listing said that the page numbers matched with the print copy of the book. Upset I didn't spring for the physical copy now.

Overpriced for only a little more than common sense
There are some great ideas here and I think are useful. There is also a ton of common sense Ideas, which we were already doing. The low rating is mainly for value for money. This book is not worth $50-$60!It should be priced at $20-$30.

I have a few of the Hanen books and have found all of them very useful. As a parent of their first child who is a late talker, I found this book invaluable. It's written succinctly, with good explanations and tips. It has been great in our helping improving our child's social and verbal capabilities. The visuals are helpful to break up the text and to demonstrate the point they are making.

Two of my three children are late talkers (two brilliant children with apparently not much interest in talking)
Two of my three children are late talkers (two brilliant children with apparently not much interest in talking). I wish I had knowledge about this book a couple of years ago. This text together with Prof. Camarata's studies has been a light in the darkness. You'll learn better strategies to deal with your children, to enjoy even more the time spent together, and to understand more appropriately their dynamics in order to protect them from hasty judgements by relatives, friends, pre-school/school staff, etc.Definitely, a must have for all parents of late talking children.

So helpful!
Great book! I don’t like reading but my little guy needed some support. It’s a really easy read! And so practical and applicable!

Pricey, but worth it.
I was hesitant purchasing this because of the price. (And it's a paperback) But it was recommended by our daughter's pediatrician as well as 2 developmental pediatricians and a child psychologist. It gives pertinent information, especially to parents who need a "road map" to assist with their child's speech delays. I wish the cover was a little more rigid because my two year old wants to hold it when I'm reading it. Other than that, I'd suggest parents at least use it as a reference guide in conjunction with traditional speech therapy.

Kindle version hard to read
I wish I’d bought the book as the kindle version is exceptionally difficult to read (it’s just like a scanned version of the book & not easy to expand or autofit to phone size) and I don’t think I can get a refund as per usual I’ve taken ages to start the book! I’m really annoyed as it looks really good and it’s not cheap on kindle either. If there is anyway of swapping from Kindle to the book I’d massively appreciate it.

Life changing
We bought it to use along with a speech therapist as our toddler was an extremely late talker (started combining two words at 3 years and 2 months). This book has been amazing in helping us adjust our own behavior that helped our toddler advancing in speech extremely fast.It was life changing at the time when we felt scared and lost, while a lot of "experts" were diagnosing our toddler as autistic. Amazing book.
