Bought this for my Kinder classroom. It’s a great book for back to school.

I always love picking up a couple new books to read to my second graders at the start of the school year, and when I saw this book I knew this was one I needed to have! I was drawn to the main character (because she’s adorable) but also for her spirit! The illustrations are amazing lend themselves perfectly to discussing the many feelings students have on the first day of school.

THe story needs work. I was so disappointed.

My daughter is 1 and a half and loves this book. Each page has about one sentence and a little phrase you can act out like “stomp stomp” or “vroom vroom”. It’s perfect for keeping a young child’s attention and the exclamatory phrases help make it fun for them. My daughter tends to turn the page before I’m done reading with most books because she gets bored, so if your child is the same way, this will be a good book for them. I saw some complaints about the story line but if it’s for a younger child, it’s perfect. Illustrations are beautiful too.

The content of the book lacks depth; however, it is illustrated beautifully. It shows an immense level of diversity and pure innocence.
