Old Fashioned Gourmet Large Assorted Fruit Slices From Canada, 5lbs

I love these, I always have, but these ones taste like the fruit they're supposed to be, which is also nice, instead of just red, blue, yellow, green flavored, there's blue raspberry, grape, lime, lemon, watermelon, grapefruit, cherry. They are sweet, but would you expect them not to be? 5lbs might be excessive for some, but I only get the chance to receive them every 3 months, and the bulk helps my sweet tooth in the meantime. They always arrive fresh and moist, which makes them a great value for the money.

I am very impressed with all aspects of this product. The colors are awesome, the variety of flavors are amazing, the taste is great. They are very fresh and packaged well. This is a fantastic value. These folks should be commended for the great product they are putting out. I'd love to see these in a tin can option so I could send them out as a Christmas gift to friends and family that live in other areas.

The product came in a box not wrapped just in a box. The candies are very hard and very hard to chew. I would return them if I could I expected them to be wrapped in something just not placed in a box

Sounds like there are more than one brand being sold by different vendors. I bought the Canadian Cavalier ones from Bayside Candy and they were very nice. Not the best I've had, but they were laid out cleanly on layers of wax paper and tasted good. A little firmer than I prefer, but still relatively soft centers.I added photos of the box I received and inner layer for reference. I didn't think they deserved 5 stars, but then again I don't think most any products do. I would have given them 4 1/2 stars, if it were possible.

These taste just like I remember them. There were some new flavors and they were all fresh and very tasty.

I have ordered fruit slices several times through Amazon and these particular ones are the best by far. Super fresh, lots of flavor, and a really good variety. I strongly suggest if you're looking for gourmet fruit slices that you try these first.

Like the chewy texture, but don't taste like I remember as a kid. The lemon isn't tart, the orange isn't orangy enough, and some flavors just taste like sugar with no recognizable flavor. They are still the best ones I have found so far.
