It is easy to assemble
Ok, so the directions suck...That said, start with the door panel (make sure the arrows on it line up with the arrows on the end pieces) and then add panels one at a time till you get back to the door panel. 5 screws per panel. I started with the center screw, then added the two screws to secure new panel to previous one. Then add another panel. When you get to the final panel, tuck it under the door panel and then "pop" the back end down and add screws. Once you do a couple of panels you will realize the assembly is very straightforward. I used the center divider to give it extra rigidity. The legs just literally "snap" together. It really is that easy, not kidding. Slide the axle through the drum and screw to the legs. Done. Took me a little over 20 min. An electric screw gun would really speed things up.Once assembled it is quite sturdy. The center axle is large and will support a loaded drum well. The drum spins very easily. The doors tho small are more than big enough for my big hands. I add a little every day, no problem.Everyone should compost. It's good for balancing your veggie gardens soil. Even tho we have an unlimited supply of aged horse poop (we have Rock Mountain horses) compost fills in other gaps in soil balance. Basically start with dry, than alternate with wet/dry/wet/dry. Tumble once every 4 to 7 days. Depends on heat and moisture. (hotter and wetter you turn more often) There is lot's of information on composting, well worth reading up on it. At least read about what you CAN'T compost. Do this and you will be fine.Even tho we've had this for a short time I am very pleased. No more turning a compost heap. This is luxury composting for me :-)

Horrible assembly instructions, great product
The assembly instructions are ridiculous. Whomever wrote the guide forgot that the target audience has likely never assembled this product before.I recommend having a Phillips screwdriver for assembly (no mention made in the instructions about what tools are needed).None of the pieces are labeled, but don’t panic when the metal frame doesn’t go together right away. All of the pieces are there, but you have to hunt for the correct orientation. Also, the order matters when inserting the screws, and don’t forget to install the screw in the middle of each panel even though it’s never mentioned in the instructions.Despite my frustration with assembly, the compost tumbler itself is fantastic. I did purchase a second thermometer for the other side of the tumbler (it only comes with one, but there are two separate sides). It’s very easy to add kitchen scraps and give it a spin.

Wish I had more
Like everyone says the directions are bad but it's easy enough to figure out. I'm on my 3rd batch since I got it and love it and plan on buying a second. I will say even though it splits in the center so you can alternate and create a new compost pile I just use the whole thing at once and is the reason I plan on buying a second. If you put too much in it, it will rock while rotating but it's not too much of an issue. I've found buying a cement mixing tray from Lowes or Home Depot works best for unloading it. This was my first time dipping my toes into composting and I was not disappointed. I'm sure you won't be either.

Good Compost Tumbler
This took forever to get delivered, but I think that had more to do with I-95's fiasco than the seller. All in all its a good compost tumbler. The thermometer it comes with is a bit on the short side, so your temp might read as lower than it really is, but if you roll the bin then check the temp it'll be more accurate as the hotter compost in the middle is jumbled around.A lot of people had trouble with assembly, but I didn't find it that hard. I was able to complete it by myself in about 15-ish minutes. I think most of the problems others had was primarily that you have to screw in the top part of the first panel, then go around the entire circle layering each panel on top of the previous one, before *unscrewing* the screws you did on the top of the very first panel so that you can fit the last panel on it. Its a bit confusing until you actually get to that point in the construction. Also. make sure you screw in the middle screws on each panel before you start on the next panel, if you leave the middle screws off thinking you can just secure the outer edge screws first then the middle ones once you've started assembling it, it'll be a pain in the *ss because of the angle you'll have to contort into.It works well, I got a small batch (A tester batch I did just to make sure it doesnt leak excessively or fall apart) of compost in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Tester batch was slightly cut weeds, grass clippings, food scraps, ash, wood chips, cardboard, paper, and roughly a handful of loose soil from my garden. The bin got hot enough to have everything break down quickly despite it being unseasonably cool and damp in June/July for my area.

Leaky
Assembly was not that difficult, according to my husband who has a lot of patience for putting things together. It spins well. Too well. I wish it had some sort of lock because it moves too easily when we are trying to dump scaps into it. My biggest complaint is that it leaks! There’s disgusting brown juice leaking out all of the seams even though they are screwed in as tight as they can go.

***VERY PLEASED***
I bought this last year but just got around to using this year. So far, so good. It's held up well; however, it will leak if there is alot of wetness inside. If you keep it outside, not much to worry about. It's pretty full and turns easily. One thing I'm pleased about: no critters have tried to access. I've put in pineapple cuttings. I was worried about attracting raccoons. Nope. Thank goodness. If you need something attractive and is designed pretty good, you can't go wrong with this one - especially for the price. (It is now $10 cheaper than when I purchased).I highly recommend.
