I am looking for crystals and rocks to place in a large aquarium. I have researched which types can go in freshwater tanks. Can you help me?

You can put any quartz which is a crystal into the aquarium. I wouldn't use lead crystal as the lead could leach out into the water. (I don't know this for a fact, I'm just assuming.) Onyx will also work and lava rocks. Make sure that there are no sharp edges anywhere. While it may be tempting, don't put shells into the tank as calcium will leach out and change the ph balance. Glass marbles could also be used.

How many pieces are there?

I received 1 nice sized piece of ore. Good color, I would say 2"x2". I believe the order is by weight, so you may get 1 or more, not sure. Hope this helps.

You can tumble but the results are poor, not recomended.
