Fender Locking Stratocaster®/Telecaster® Tuning Machine Sets

These were not a direct fit for my Indonesian Squire bullet so I had to drill out the peg holes to be 10mm and then drill the 3/8 holes for the holding pegs and the old holes still show. HOWEVER, completely worth it. Stringing up has never been easier and the tuning stability is exactly what I expected, very good. I'll be getting a set for my SG soon. Not these per se but locking tuners for sure as they are the only way to go. Why use two sticks when you can use a lighter?

These are superb replacements for the cheaper versions. Just beware that they have the American style anti-rotation lugs on the back that might require you to drill location holes in the back of the headstock if you have a cheaper Japanese neck. As I have just replaced my Jap neck with a hand finished American neck, they slotted in perfectly. The locking system is brilliant and really anchors the string well without the need for a lot of winding. I was initially flummoxed by the fact that three of the pillars are shorter than normal but I used these for the wound strings and the longer ones for the plain strings. Can’t comment on tuning stability as I also have a double-locking Floyd-Rose bridge and nut system but they look awesome in black and match the rest of my hardware.

These are amazing. Had them switched out on my USA strat. They hold tuning well. Best bang for the buck.
