Best Sleeping Hammock - Well Built
This is the best of the camping hammocks and I've tried a few.The rain fly is the best differentiating item. I've used others that have rain fly’s that you need to string between additional trees. Ughhh. This one works great and really keeps you dry; even in windy rainstorms. Also, the curved tent poles create a perfect enclosed anti-mosquito cocoon. I've used others that 'don't stay open' like this one does. On those, the top requires an additional bungie cord around the tree to stay up, but they don't give the perfect 'cocoon' shape as this one does. The other’s shortcoming is not just a beauty thing, this models cocoon shape keeps the mosquitos away from your body MUCH better. My first one lasted three years. I used it so much that I just left it up in the backyard. Unfortunately, I forgot about it over one winter and the spiders found a home. I don't like spiders! I threw it away instead of cleaning it. Everyone has some phobia! Anyways, this is my replacement. I've probably got 150 nights of sleeping in them. It has ample pockets, for storage, keeps me dry during heavy storms, keeps the mosquitos away and even as a side-sleeper, I sleep great in it. I use a tiny pillow. A big pillow doesn't work.Putting a heavy blanket down, then adding the 40-degree rated sleeping bag has allowed me great nights of sleeping in down to 26-degree weather. For size reference, I’m 6’2” tall and 210 pounds. It’s rated for 400 pounds. My wife has joined me in it bring the total to about 350 pounds. Comfortable for short durations, but not for overnight! It showed no sign of stress with the both of us in it.It lasted about three years and 125 overnights without showing any signs of tears, rips or undue stress. Obviously I kept all sharp objects away from it.Those dang spiders!

Love it!
We bought these for camping and use them all the time as hammocks when hanging out at the lake with friends. I am a big guy, and it has held up to the elements (and me) quite well. Looking forward to the better weather so that we can bring them out camping. Everyone comments on them and asks where they can get them. They clean up into a fairly small pouch that fits into my backpack and is incredibly light weight.

Works well
It took a little getting used to but actually worked well. 3 nights in the Boundry Waters with rain and a lot of mosquitoes! Hardest thing is getting in and out and not being able to adjust your sleeping pad and/or items while in it. But that's what it is. I also wish the rain fly had grommets to hold it onto the 2 pole ends, but that didn't cause any issues as it wasn't a blowing rain. The material looks and feels like it could tear easily under strain, but it held up well. We had 2 of these with no issues. Lots of room, did not feel Closter phobic at all!I would recommend this to others.

100% recommend
This was perfect for my backpacking hammock camping trip. Was very easy to put up and take down. One of the best nights sleep I've gotten while camping. Lightweight and has a handle that you can carabiner to your backpack if needed. Great quality and zippers were smooth and easy and didn't get caught up. It did not rain on this trip so I can't speak for the rain proofing, but will update if I use it in the rain!

Great for intro! Perfect for smaller people
Easy to assemble, love the straps. Light weight. Great as a hammock, okay as a tent. Little low for tent—I’m small and can rotate but not much else in there. Did not try it in the rain. Perfect for moderate backpacking.*tried in rain, was perfect! Forecast called for 4% showers. Queue torrential downpour for 3 hours. Stayed dry inside—besides my condensation.Very spacious inside when set up as a hammock. Not so much when set up as a tent. But for about 3.5 lbs—I have no complaints!

Failed early and completely
The design itself is excellent and the 4 nights I spent in it, three as a hammock, one as a tent worked exactly as intended. Ok, 3.5 nights to be exact. I used it for a few nights of a 16-day motorcycle trip until it split exactly across the middle while was asleep about midnight of the fourth night.Putting it up in either configuration is a breeze. It kept out the mosquitos and the light rain. It had plenty of room. Even the little pocket inside was a nice feature. The fly is made of a ripstop material but oddly the base, where all of your weight is, is not. When it failed, one second my butt was two foot off the ground and the next, on the ground with me folded like a taco arms and legs still in the hammock.

This thing is AMAZING!
I hammock camp a lot and this is awesome! It’s sturdy, open, easy n fairly light. My camp group was so impressed they all order one.I did not try it in the rain so I’m not too confident in the rain fly design however I’m going to run a cord from arch to arch to reduce the slight sag on the rain fly.

Felt like doing math :(
Tested on a short day trip and it was not a fantastic fit for me.While I've definitely found comfort in a hammock before, I was not able to in this hammock tent. The 'boat' part is super deep but lacks tension, so I felt like I was adrift at sea, out of control of the hammock. I was not able to reach comfort in this hammock...not for a day trip and certainly not to sleep overnight.I moved it to the ground. Heck, I had a tarp with me and a serious desire to make this tent work for me, so I unclipped it from the trees and laid it out on some flat grassy area. This was a disaster. This product only comes with two stakes and for the life of me, I could not figure out a way to get this set up on the ground as shown in the images on this listing. Without additional stakes, the tent collapses and you're like a bug in a net.I was disappointed that this did not work out for ME, but that does not mean that another will find happiness in the product! The tent was SUPER light, so it was convenient to carry. The color was more yellow than expected, but not too bright. The bugs were not creeping into the tent whatsoever (it was just a short afternoon though). I wanted it to work out for me, but if you are someone who sleeps on their stomach or needs to lie flat, this will not be the tent for you.
